At Mathnasium, the well-being of our families is always our first priority. We are keeping up with the latest information on the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and want to share some notes with you on how we are working to keep our center the safest place it can be for your children.
December 14th, 2019: Holiday Party!
Thank you to our guests and assistants who made this years holiday party a fun success. We had games and prizes, ate pizza and cookies (and veggies too!), and a movie!
We're so grateful to our wonderful parents and students. For the second year-in-a-row, you've voted us a top Mathnasium learning center, and the best center in New Jersey!
December 22nd, 2018: Holiday Party
Wishing you and your family good health, love and prosperity. Our sincere thanks for your business, loyalty and support! Wishing you the all the best in 2019.
July 23rd, 2018: 14th Annual Mathnasium International Convention
A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents. Your reviews have overwhelmingly recognized us as #1 in customer service from over 800 Mathnasium locations internationally. What an unexpected honor it was to be given the award at the convention with over 900 attendees from around the world. That's us grinning uncontrollably with the Man and the Legend, Larry Martinek, creator of the Mathnasium System and Steve Spengler, Director of U.S. Franchise Operations.
June 3rd, 2018: Fort Lee Arts and Music Festival
Wow, we've been so busy that a year has gone by in a blink. We had another great year at the annual Fort Lee A&M Festival although it was too windy to put up our signature red tent! Our Mathnasium balloons were a hit again and it was a gratifying sight to see so many bobbing red balloons adding a festive air.
We also had a guessing jar. To all our contestants, the winning number is 56 packs of Smarties candy. There were no winners (much to the regret of your dentists)... but everyone is winner and are all welcome to a FREE Mathnasium trial and a gift for stopping by our center!!!
This is our 4th annual showing at the Fort Lee Arts & Music Festival. We make math fun by making math make sense. What's even more fun? Balloons!! (photos)

December 16, 2016 Holiday Party
Happy Holidays to our students and their family, from Ruby, Benedict and our staff!
We concluded another TriMathlon. It was quieter this year and still not without mishaps. We apologize for our emails with instructions that were not sent on schedule.
October 2, 2016 Fort Lee Arts & Music Festival
We were at booth 111, a prime spot in the midst of activity. To promote that we take the stress out of math... we gave away stress [reduction] balls... hence... "We have balls. We teach math! Yes we do!" Thanks to everyone who stopped by!
We had such great fun celebrating start of summer with game and movie night. Pizza, snacks, (salads too!), and refreshments were served. Benedict was hoping for team competitions but our students preempted him by self organining into play groups that were so joyful that he cheerfully went along. Photos and updates are on our social sites; and here.
See our news on teacher's appreciation day, May 2nd.
We helped you tell your teacher's how much you appreciate them. Mathnasium of Fort Lee handed out materials to make goodie bags for your teachers and even delivered boxes of goodie bags to surrounding schools!
Members celebrate Pi Day with Us on March 12! (**2 days early**):
We celebrate Pi Day annually, which falls on March 14 (3/14—the first three digits of pi)! Here at Mathnasium, our love of math is like pi—irrational, constant, and infinite in scope. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our favorite math holiday than with a fun afternoon of food, activities, and learning!
Through December 12, 2015: We were happy to be selected as a U.S. Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots donation collection site. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Saturday October 17 - Our 2nd hosting of the TriMathlon where contestants get to test their math skills, receive awesome participant gifts, earn money for local schools, and be eligible to win additional prizes! See the news wrap here.
This fun-filled event is open to kids in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Similar to the way a triathlon tests an athlete’s physical fitness through three athletic challenges, the TriMathlon tests a mathlete’s mental fitness through three exciting math challenges:
- The Counting Game - Tests your ability to count from any number, to any number, by any number.
- Magic Squares Challenge – Develop your own math problems to receive points.
- Mental Math Workout - Tests your Number Sense through solving problems without pencil and paper.
Each challenge is tailored by grade and progressively increases in difficulty. All participants receive fun goody bags, a certificate of participation, and earn money for local schools. The top three scorers in each grade level at each center will receive additional medals and prizes.
Friday August 21, 5:00pm-7:30pm - Another get together where we all got creative with Legos and drawing. We had games, food, and -- obviously -- watched the Lego movie! We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures! Ahhhh...
Friday June 19th, 5:00pm-7:30pm - Mathnasium held a Game and Movie night to celebrate our students' successes and letting us be part of it. We had a rousing game of math Jeopardy (yay!) followed by pizza, and watched "Paddington the Bear" and tried to spot the math moments.
Sunday June 7th, 11am-6pm - We had a vendor booth, and thank you to everyone who stopped by said hello. The Fort Lee Arts and Music Festival event is held annually. How auspicious, our booth was a perfect binary number, 128 = 2^7!!
Friday May 8, 2015 - We are a community sponsor of Anna C Scott's Spring Gala & Silent Auction - held annually. Join this worthy school fund raiser, bid up our Mathnasium scholarship donations, have fun, and win prizes!
1st Annual Pi-Day at Mathnasium of Fort Lee - and it's Super-Pi Day!
Super-Pi day officially started on 3/14/15 @ 9:26:54 ... but that was too early and instead we celebrated at 12:00pm with activities, fun Pi-facts, and of course lots of Pi-zza and apple Pi-e! Read the news.
Our first 100 Days - Our first Game and Movie Night!
January 25, 2014 - Celebrating our 100 days of opening with food, fun, and a movie. There was plenty of games, pizza, drinks, and of course pop corn! Click the photo for more pictures.
December 19, 2014 - The local Girl Scout troop needed to get their Math-merit badges; and of course we were happy to volunteer our services! Congratulations scouts on achieving another milestone. Event photos here.
October 18, 2014 - After over a year of preparation and a month of soft opening, what better way to officially open our doors than to start with a math competition! Congratulations to all participants. Read the news article here.
