Emily Paras, Center Director
Emily has been with Mathnasium since early 2017, and has grown from a Math Instructor to be the Center Director at Foster City. She always loved teaching, and even as a child she would help with her peers. She currently attends the College of San Mateo, and planning to major in Economics in college. If she's not working or at school, you can most likely find her on the golf course or at the beach.
Angie started her career in Silicon Valley for Internet/Software companies and consulted for multiple startups in marketing, operations and funding strategies. Angie has been an active member in multiple start-up communities and a dedicated volunteer for various professional organizations. Angie holds an MBA degree in Management Information Systems from State University of New York at Albany with full scholarship.
In early 2013, Angie discovered Mathnasium as a brilliant way to realize her passion for education and love for mathematics while helping kids succeed at school. She and the Mathnasium team of Foster City are committed to helping students grow their interest, skills, and confidence in Math and are very proud to bring the Mathnasium Method to San Mateo County.
Valorie Vang, Administrative Assistant
Valorie graduated with a BA in Sociology in 2016 from SFSU and is currently working with kids from eighteen months to five years old on the weekend, teaching art. She lived in San Francisco for 6 years and moved to San Mateo in late 2018. She enjoy the outdoors, as I lived in Half Moon Bay for two years, with many hiking trails to choose from and also the beautiful scenery of the ocean. She loves working with kids at Mathnasium in Foster CIty.
