Q: What helps students in your center stay motivated?
A: Students are motivated by differing incentives, whether that be the reward cards or simply playing a fun game with an instructor like multiplication war.
Q: Tell us about the reward cabinet!
A: Our reward cabinet is stocked filled with candies, toys and other goodies for the students to purchase with their reward cards.
Q: How do students earn prizes from the reward cabinet?
A: By completing pages, spinning our wheel for excellent work on a mastery check or playing certain games with instructors, students earn punches which go towards their reward card. Once the card is filled out they can exchange it for something in the cabinet.
Q: How does your center celebrate student success?
A: We celebrate student success by having student of the month and a board to show highest percent increases from our assessments
Q: What is your favorite student success story?
A: I have a student named Jaydan. He is in 9th grade working on algebra in school, but has been assessed on a 2nd grade level. I personally have been trying to help him learn some of these foundational blocks he has been missing for a couple months now. All the while, he has been working hard and saving up to get a big nerf gun package with his cards. He is almost there and i am so proud that he is about to accomplish his goal.
