Math Monday📐

Today we are exploring real world examples of the number zero and points.
_________________________________
Zero: The whole number between −1 and 1, with the symbol 0, that shows there is no amount.

In real life, we know this as "nothing." If we look at an empty measuring cup, there is nothing in it, so there are zero (0) mL.
_________________________________
Point: An exact location. It has no size, only position.

We can use our fingers to POINT at a specific location. We can also put a pin in a map to mark an exact location, or point.

What real-world examples can you find in your day-to-day life?
Applying mathematical concepts to tangible objects can help students of all ages understand exactly what they mean!
