Did you know? Octopuses have 3 hearts but 0 bones. They have 6 arms and 2 legs (not 8 legs or arms, as is commonly believed), have 2 eyes, 1 beak (their mouth) which they use to eat, and there are more than 200 species of octopuses living in the oceans around the world. Whew! With all these interesting octopus number facts, octopuses are the perfect subject for this week’s word problem challenge! You’ll need your elementary school division and multiplication math skills to solve this one. Are you up for the challenge? 

Question: A giant pacific octopus weighs 110 pounds. A blue-ringed octopus weighs 4 ounces. How many blue-ringed octopuses weigh the same amount as a giant pacific octopus?
