Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach students in elementary math through upper level high school math courses

  • Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students

Our Glen Ellyn learning center environment is supportive and encouraging.  Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to success.

Hours may vary, but could include mid-afternoon through early evening hours, Monday -Friday and Sunday mornings, approximately 8-25 hours per week (flexible).  

              Note: We look for a commitment of being able to consistently work at least two days during the week (During the school year that is @4:00 PM - 8:00 PM).

  • Typical starting compensation for high school students is approximately $11.00/hour*.
  • Typical starting compensation for college students or college graduates is approximately $12.00/hour*.

* Starting compensation is $11.00 - $16/hour depending upon education, experience, availability and skill level concentration.  The compensation can increase depending on these relevant elements.

Employment Advancement Opportunities:

Dependent on specific criteria (performance, education, experience, skill set, availability, reliability) will allow for potential advancement to either Lead Instructor or Assistant Center Director.
