For safety and security purposes, any non-members attending with a member must provide parent or guardian contact information and be reachable during the event.

Community Play Day and Touch-a-Truck – Saturday, September 14th, 10am-12pm (Lombard Common)
This FREE event is perfect for families to play outside, meet with local businesses, and Touch-a-Truck! A variety of vendors will be present along with activities focused on play. Kids will have the opportunity to explore police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks and more.
Healthy Kids Running Series – September 15th, 22nd, 29th, October 6th and 13th (Hoffman Park, Lombard)
Healthy Kids Running Series was created by Jeff Long, Founder and President of Pattison Sports Group, to provide kids a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running. To combat increasing rates of childhood obesity in America, Jeff designed a running program that would motivate kids to be healthy and active while providing a fun environment to improve their self-esteem. Jeff believed the program would encourage kids to adopt a “Get Up and Go” attitude.
Glow in the Park Lantern Walk – Sunday, September 15th, 5-8pm (Lake Ellyn Park)
Get ready to light up the night at Glow in the Park! We’re partnering with Charlie’s Corner Foundation for an exciting evening of family activities benefiting Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Start the evening enjoying bounce houses, an inflatable climbing wall, live music, and more. At dusk, watch or march in the illuminated paper lantern walk around the lake. Glow in the Park is free to attend, but cash donations to Lurie Children’s are encouraged. There is a $10 fee per lantern to decorate a lantern on-site (while supplies last; cash only).
PumpkinFest – The Month of October 2019 (Cosley Zoo)
Check out all the pumpkins on full display at Cosley Zoo throughout the month of October! Mathnasium sponsors this event and is excited to see families enjoying such a great place.
See the animals in the crisp fall air, listen to the squeals of excitement from the children conquering the straw pyramid and take in the thousands of pumpkins scattered on the zoo’s lawn. Children’s rides are also available.
Apples, gourds, pumpkins, cider, cornstalks, and various sizes of straw bales are available to purchase.
Lombard's Fall Fest – Saturday, October 5th, 1-4pm (Lombard Common)
The leaves are changing color and there is a nip in the air. This can only mean one thing in Lombard, it’s time for Fall Fest! Join us for this FREE event that has something for everyone. Families can enjoy games, dancing, hayrides, face painting, a candy hunt and so much more! Join us inside the Community Building from 2:00 – 3:00 pm for a round of Boo Bingo. Stop by our pumpkin patch and select the perfect pumpkin (one pumpkin per child) to take home or decorate in our pumpkin decorating contest. Please note that the Lombard Park District has limited decorating supplies so make sure to bring extra decorating supplies if participants want to get creative! Winners will be announced at 3:45 pm or at the conclusion of the event.
Candy Hunt Times: 1:45 pm (ages 1-2), 2:00 pm (ages 3-4), 2:15 pm (ages 5-6), 2:30 pm (ages 7-8), 2:45 pm (all who have not participated)
NEW: Howl-a-weenie Competition!
Humans shouldn’t be the only ones having fun on Halloween! Dress your four-legged friend in their best costume and bring them to Fall Fest. We will have a Puppies on Parade at 2:00 pm and winners will be chosen at 3:00 pm. Dogs must stay leashed.
Wheaton's OctoberFest – Saturday, October 5th, 2-8pm (Wesley Street, Wheaton)
Wheaton Park District's OctoberFest is held on Wesley Street (between Main & Cross Streets). Join us for a fall celebration featuring live music, a beer garden, children’s area, and a variety of food vendors.
Boo Bash – Saturday, October 12th, 10-11:30am (Maryknoll Park, Glen Ellyn)
Dress in costume and join us for a spooky good time! Enjoy the Trick-or-Treat trail with your favorite characters, listen to stories read by the Glen Ellyn Public Library, and enjoy apple cider and Halloween treats! Pumpkin Flotilla Fest – Sunday, October 20th, 4-7pm (Lake Ellyn Park, Glen Ellyn)
Fall is a wonderful time to visit Lake Ellyn Park! Enjoy live entertainment with Jeanie B! and the Jelly Beans, activities and games throughout the park, a pumpkin carving demonstration, trackless train rides, canoe rides, bounce houses, and of course, we’ll end the evening with our lit Pumpkin Flotilla at dusk. Participation in the event is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, provided by the Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn.
If you would like to submit your carved pumpkin to be a part of the Flotilla, please register online beginning July 28 at 10pm for residents (August 12 for nonresidents). You can even carve a pumpkin at the event (limited quantity, $5 per pumpkin)!
Holiday Lights & Tree Lighting – Saturday, December 7th, 5:30-8pm (Lilacia Park, Lombard)
Come visit Lombard Park District’s annual Holiday Lights and Tree Lighting in Lilacia Park. Enjoy breathtaking displays with thousands of lights covering all of iconic Lilacia Park.
