Michael Reveles

Michael has enjoyed and excelled in math, often helping and tutoring his peers. Michael likes watching people work through their problems while providing timely help when needed. In his free time, Michael enjoys playing and designing video games.

Masaki Osato

Instructor
Masaki is a 4th year Statistics B.S. student at UCSB. Growing up, he was never a fan of math so he can empathize with many of the students. He is familiar with the struggle most of our students face when they first begin at Mathnasium. This empathy and his prior experience at Mathnasium of Almaden makes him a very effective instructor. In his free time, he likes to go outdoors to rock climb or kayak. He also enjoys spending some time indoors to play pool or Super Smash Bros.

Megan Stiling

Instructor
Megan is a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering Major at UCSB. Before starting there, she worked at Mathnasium of Alameda for nearly two years. Ever since elementary school, she's had a passion for math. Her tutoring experience began with helping her younger siblings with their math homework and naturally progressed into her employment at Mathnasium. When she is not at Mathnasium or studying, she is hanging out with her friends, listening to music, working on her art, or watching Netflix.

Jonathan Maat

Instructor
Jonathan is a 4th year Mathematics Major at UCSB. Jonathan has always excelled in mathematics and enjoys adding the visual side behind numbers. As a visual learner, Jonathan enjoys breaking down topics into diagrams and pictures. He knows how helpful a tutor can be to start seeing the bigger connections to the world of mathematics. In his free time, he likes working out, rock climbing, and studying for his actuarial exams.

Ben Zimmerman

Instructor
Ben is a Junior in the Engineering academy of Dos Pueblos High School. He started tutoring Mathematics in junior high and continued into high school, tutoring in Math, English, Computer Science, and Chemistry. Ben loves the learning process and enjoys the “Ah Ha!” moment when a student understands something new. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with friends and racing sail boats in Pacific Coast tournaments.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
