Anh Thu Nguyen

Owner
Anh Thu Nguyen is the Owner/Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Greenhaven. She earned her BA in Mathematics at California State University, Sacramento. She is a high school math teacher with Elk Grove Unified School District. She has taught and tutored children of all ages for more than 10 years, and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.

John S.

Regional Director
John is a US Navy veteran with a degree in Business Finance from San Francisco State. John's passion is providing a fun learning environment for kids throughout their journey into the math universe. John loves hitting the gym, reading, solving math puzzles, and walking his chunky Pitbull Rza.

Audrey N.

Assistant Center Director
Audrey is currently a student at Consumes River Oaks College. She enjoys swimming, reading, and shopping. She has been swimming competitively since 9 years old, competing in high qualifying meets such as Junior Olympics and Far Westerns. Working at Mathnasium, she enjoys being able to positively impact students' lives by helping them through the challenges of math, exceeding their knowledge, and accelerating them through challenging math problems, as well as helping them with their math homework.

Xijian X.

Lead Instructor
Xijian is a college student at Cosumnes River College. He has always been passionate and interested in math since his childhood. He loves to share his knowledge and passion of math with younger students and help them understand mathematical concepts with his charming style.

Bobby W.

Instructor
Bobby Woodard is currently a Senior at John F. Kennedy High School. He has always loved math and continues to place at the top of his class, while helping his peers study and learn new concepts. He is a section leader for the John F. Kennedy marching band and a Team Captain of his schools robotics team. This has helped him gain experience with helping other learn in a variety of ways. When he isn't studying he is reading fantasy books and drawing landscapes. He is currently in AP Calculus AB and plans to continue his Calculus education. He wants to tutor others because of his passion for math and enjoys the reward of helping others grow educationally.

Olivia L.

Instructor
Olivia is a Christian Brothers High School Senior and is currently studying AP Stats. She is in a peer tutoring club where she helps her classmates with their assignments and test preparation. She is also a member of the academic decathlon team. She enjoys using her math and tutoring skills to help the students at Mathnasium.

Vanessa L.

Instructor
Vanessa is a senior at Christian Brothers High School and is currently studying AP Statistics and Multivariable Calculus. She volunteers as a peer tutor and competes for her school’s Academic Decathlon and Mock Trial teams. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, playing piano, crocheting, and playing with her dogs. At Mathnasium, she hopes to create a safe and comfortable learning environment and help students gain a deeper appreciation for math.

Quynh T.

Instructor of the Month
Quynh is a college student at Consumnes River College. Though she says she's not good at math, Quynh still challenges herself with high-level math classes at her college. At Mathnasium, Quynh hopes students can have a comfortable environment to enjoy and solve math problems.

Dylan L.

Instructor
Dylan is a student at Cosumnes River College majoring in Computer Science. He loves to teach students about various concepts in math.

Kai N.

Instructor
Kai is a senior at John F. Kennedy. Kai has taken Calculus 1-3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and AP Statistics. She wanted to work at Mathnasium as she wanted to continue to be apart of the math community, despite not being able to take a math class currently. Kai is 4x world record, 6x national record, and 58x state record-holding powerlifter. Kai plans on attending college next year for Pre-Med!

Levente G.

Instructor
Levente is a senior at Christian Brothers High School and is currently studying AP Stats and Differential Equations. In addition to being a peer tutor for high schoolers, he is a co-leader of a club aimed at tutoring local elementary school students and co-leader of his school's crochet club, one of his favorite pastimes. As an aspiring educator and future mathematics major, Levente found a means to foster and nurture his teaching skills at Mathnasium.

Elizabeth N.

Instructor
Elizabeth is a third-year Mathematics student at UC Davis. She has always enjoyed learning math and is planning on becoming a teacher. She is excited to use her math skills to help the students of Mathnasium.

Nia B.

Instructor
Nia is a graduate from Saint Mary’s College of California with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics. Math has been her favorite subject in school since she was in 1st grade. Her favorite numbers are 21, 13, and 5, but if you ask her why, it will take her at least 7-9 minutes to explain. Nia also loves musicals, summer, and the color pink. At Mathnasium, she hopes to create a safe environment where kids feel encouraged to ask questions and feel inspired to learn.

Alvaro B.

My name is Alvaro Benavides, he currently is a Civil Engineering student at Sacramento State University. He is 23, and loves anime and reading comics. In the near future, he would like to focus on transportational engineering as my career choice. He is excited to meet a lot of the student's here at Mathnasium and help students in the way of Math.

Ambareesh

Instructor
My name is Ambareesh Lankipalli, and am currently a junior at Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove. Ambareesh founded the non-profit Brighter Futures, which helps underprivileged youth in California. Education has always been something very important in his life, and being an instructor in Mathnasium, he can further his mission to help the youth in California. Outside of school he is the Captain of the Cosumnes Oaks Varsity Tennis Team and is part of CSF, an on-campus tutoring program.

Ninh

Instructor
Meet Ninh, a passionate college student at Sacramento City College, on her way to an Associates degree for Transfer in Mathematics. With over 5 years of experience as a Mathnasium student in Vietnam, she now returns as an Instructor and spreads her love for math to kids at the Greenhaven branch. At Mathnasium, Ninh aims to create a supportive learning space, fostering young minds to blossom in their mathematical thinking. During free time, she enjoys playing chess, experimenting with different baking recipes and exploring new destinations.
