Robin Colbran, Center Director
Robin is the owner at Mathnasium of Happy Valley. Prior to opening her Mathnasium center, Robin owned and ran two succesful businesses. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business Entrepreneurship from Sonoma State University. Having struggled with math as a child, Robin is passionate about helping every child in her community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She wants to help build each childs confidence in math and open many more doors for their overall future success. Married with 2 kids, Robin loves to ride bikes, hike and explore with her family.
Arthur is currently a senior at Clackamas High School. He is in the school's Math Honors Society. In short, Arthur loves math! He also loves teaching others math. In his free time, he tutors students in Calculus. In the future, Arthur hopes to become a high school math teacher and help others love math! Arthur also enjoys playing the piano, singing, and volunteering around the community. He also takes interest in business, finance, and photography.
Helene is currently a freshman at the University of Portland. She's was president of Math Honor Society, because math has always been her favorite subject. She was also the secretary National Tech Honor Society and volunteers in a tutoring program in language arts. Outside of school she enjoys playing the violin and piano. She is involved in lots of health program and hopes to become a neurosurgeon.
Filip is a junior at Ardrienne C. Nelson High School who is really passionate about math and science. As an elementary schooler, he became excited about math because his Dad explained it to him in a way that was logical and applicable. Since then, he's been explaining math to others in the same way and using his math skills in everyday life. Filip is a leader for his church's middle school ministry and he loves to interact with kids whenever he has the opportunity. In his free time, he loves playing the cello and the guitar, reading, playing board games and hiking. One day, he hopes to become an aerospace engineer.
Aiden is a junior at Clackamas High School. He has enjoyed math since elementary school and thinks it is an important skill to have to understand everyday life. He enjoys working with people who want to learn and understand more. In his free time, Aiden enjoys riding his bike and going outside. In the future, he hopes to become an actuary.
