My son has been attending Mathnasium in Hillsboro for close to a year. Like most kids, due to COVID he needed to make up some ground in Math. The tutors at Mathnasium are caring and supportive. My son's confidence in Math has increased greatly. We are very happy with the staff. Angela Smith-Lund

My oldest daughter is autistic and has to work harder in reading, writing and arithmetic compared to most. Spending countless hours after school and throughout the summer working on the core subjects over the years. We tried out Mathnasium because I couldn't find a teaching method that could reach her. She went from being basically a D student to an A student in just a couple of years. Without Mathnasium who knows where she would be. Educating your child is a commitment and Mathnasium will help you a long, but you and your child must be willing to put in the work.

My child looks forward to going to Mathnasium, so, they are succeeding in holding his interest. I have seen some minor improvement in his skills. I wish we could afford to keep him enrolled year round. If cost is not a barrier, I highly recommend Mathnasium!

Great environment to learn and practice math

We enrolled our now 13 year old daughter 2 years ago at Mathnasium since she was falling behind several grade levels in math in elementary school, the school couldn't provide her the support she needed to fill in the gaps, despite her having an IEP for learning disorders and access to extra support in the SPED room. We were told the school district don't allow that because they need to teach the children grade level math, where they are expected to be at, no time to make sure the students understand and masters the skills needed before moving on to the next concept. By doing so, the gap will grow bigger and bigger unless remediation is put in place. By going to Mathnasium consistent for the past 2 years, several times a week, she has progressed so much and getting closer to reaching grade level expectations. From not reaching the benchmark to even pass math in elementary school, she got a B when she started middle school, and as of this spring 2022, 7th grade, she got an A! She also made Honor Roll! Hard work, consistency, patience and letting her learn at her own pace, with the great understanding and support from her awesome instructors, she has become more confident and relaxed about math. We will stay with the program for as long as we can since it's benefitting her so much and will help her through the rest of middle school and high school. The staff is really awesome and caring and well organized in the planning of future sessions, great communication and they are very flexible with scheduling due to personal matters. I can't thank you enough Mathnasium for what an impact you have done for her and our family. She enjoys collecting her points and turning them in for prizes, some really nice ones like Lego sets and cute stuffed animals, and she likes wearing her Math shirt for extra points for each session she attends. Thank you so much Mathnasium!

Always a great place to take my son to gain his math knowledge. Love the staff, as they are always patient with him as he is the type to lose focus at times. But they are great at getting back on task! The Khaw family that run the Hillsboro Mathnasium are wonderful!
