Math Problem of the Week - Nov 8 2017

Nov 8, 2017

Even on vacation, math skills come in handy! When you’re budgeting for a trip, it’s important to know how much money you’ll need to allow for gas. This week’s word problem challenge will “fuel” your practical math skills and give you the “drive” you need to get to the next level!

Question: A family is driving 40 miles from their home in Boulder, Colorado, to a resort in the mountains. They use 3 gallons of gas to get there. How many miles do they travel for each gallon of gas?

Take your time to work it out.
