Rucha Palherkar, Center Director
Rucha is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Las Vegas - Aliante. Rucha works as a Substitue Teacher with CCSD. Rucha has a Masters degree in Zoology. Having struggled with math as a child, she is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Las Vegas community to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. She has taught and tutored children and she is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community.
Natalia is currently studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Radiography to become a Licensed Technologist. She was raised in Indonesia and later came to Las Vegas, where she graduated from Centennial High School. During her college years, Nat discovered a passion for teaching as an under graduate teacher's assistant. Nat believes that with a passionate teacher and proper instructions, everyone can thrive in learning math.
Robert is currently a junior at Shadow Ridge High School, and plans on attending either College of Southern Nevada or University of Nevada, Las Vegas after high school. He has always had an interest in the STEM Field, and plans to incorporate that in his ideal career. At school, he is a member of the Varsity Quiz team and leads a Cyber Security competition team. In his free time, Robert likes to study, practice for competitions, and spend time with friends.
Kendrick is a senior and currently attending the Northwest Career and Technical Academy in the Medical Professions program. He was born in Maryland, and has lived in Ohio, Alaska, California, and now Las Vegas. After high school, Kendrick wants to go the the University of Utah in hopes of becoming an ER doctor. He likes playing sports, reading, and hanging out with friends in his spare time.
Jessica studied at UNR for two years majoring in Physics and minoring in Astronomy. She plans on attending UNLV to further her career in Physics and to double major in Graphic Design. She believes every learning process should encourage creativity and self expression for a more effective learning experience! Her hobbies include writing comics, playing video games, digital illustration, and studying.
Vinesh is from the big city of New York. He moved to Las Vegas to be raised by a huge family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He goes to Northwest Career and Technical Academy and majors in an Engineering Program. He dreams of being able to explore space and the unknown. One day he wants to live with the stars and shine bright!
Sam is working hard to become a licensed medical coder for public healthcare and institutions. She graduated from Advanced Technologies Academy here in Las Vegas, NV and excelled in both AP Calculus AB/BC classes and received the highest possible score on their exams. She also scored a cumulative 32 on her ACT with a 29 in the math section. Sam believes strongly in nurturing students with compassion and patience to strengthen both their academic skills and personal confidence and wants to lend a hand in helping each and every person that walks through the Mathnasium door find success in math and life. In her free time, she loves playing Dungeons and Dragons, with her cats, and sometimes DND with her cats.
Steven, Lead Instructor
Steven was born and raised in Las Vegas, graduated from Las Vegas Academy and is currently attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas studying civil engineering. He is hoping to go to engineering graduate school in Berkeley after he graduates from UNLV. Steven has always enjoyed math from a young age and enjoys seeing what he has studied applied in the real world. He worked with Tesla in Reno for 6 months as a maintenance technician as well as helping peers in engineering and mathematics. In his spare time he spends time with his dog, plays video games, and exercises.
Isaac is currently a senior at Shadow Ridge High School. After high school he plans to attend UNLV and obtain a bachelor's degree in computer science. Isaac has always loved math ever since he was in elementary school. He enjoys helping others understand the things they are having trouble with. In his free time Isaac likes to listen to music, study Japanese and play games with friends.
Zoey was born in Japan and has traveled all over the world with her family. She currently goes to Arbor View High School and is a part of their cheer, orchestra, and CTE programs. After graduation she plans to attend the UNLV Honors College where she will major in Computer Science. She hopes to pursue a career that combines her love for both computer science and math. She loves helping others and has been tutoring since her junior year in high school. In her free time, Zoey enjoys spending time with her friends and going to the gym.
Seashell is currently a senior at UNLV studying secondary education to become a high school math teacher. She graduated North West career and technical Academy in 2015. Seashell believes that any student can be good at math and hopes to pass on her passion of mathematics to her students. In her free time seashell plays dungeons and dragons and video games with her friends.
