Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Nicholas H.

Assistant Center Director
I obtained my Associates degree at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. I attended UALR to work on my bachelor’s degree in math. I have tutored college students in the past and love helping students improve their math skills. What is the most inspiring part of your job? Helping students improve their thinking skills. Being there to help students, not just in math if the opportunity comes up. When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a math teacher or tutor, or a missionary when I grew up. My favorite Superhero is: Superman My favorite number is: 9521

My favorite type of math is calculus III. Three words that describe me best are: eager to help. My favorite thing about working at Mathnasium is the moments the knowledge "clicks" for students. I want people to remember me as enigmatic, inspirational, and patient. My biggest accomplishment so far is earning my bachelor's degree in computer science. In my spare time, I like to learn new things like 3D modeling. One piece of advice I would give my younger self would be to not get burnt out on normal school stuff; learn new things in your free time! My biggest influence is Matthew Carpenter (not the baseball player). If I could visit anywhere in the world it would be Siberia.

Lead Instructor
I graduated high school in 2015 and started to go to college for a dual major in math and speech communications. I believe that math can be fun for students. So, I want to try to help kids learn math but have fun while doing it. The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given: Don’t change who you are to please other people; be yourself. Cats or dogs? Both--I love animals My favorite Superhero is: Deadpool

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
