Should My Child Be In Advanced Math?

Parents want the best for their children. We want them to have as many opportunities in their future as possible. So we push them in sports, sign them up for music lessons, schedule play dates and time to volunteer at a local charity, and get them art, drama and vocal lessons. Add to that the AP and honors classes in high school, advanced tracks in math, reading and science in elementary and middle school and GT programs and it is no wonder many children are over scheduled and burned out.

Of course your child is gifted! They're your child and you'd do anything for them! But is putting them in an advanced math class or accelerated anything class really what's best for them?
