5th Annual TriMathlon Results in Arizona

Oct 17, 2015 | Ahwatukee

On October 17, Mathnasium of Ahwatukee held a very successful and fun 5th annual TriMathlon, a math competition.  Similar to the way a triathlon tests an athlete’s physical fitness through three athletic challenges, the TriMathlon tests a mathlete’s mental fitness through three math challenges: the counting game, magic squares challenge and mental math workout. The TriMathlon is open to students in grades 2-5.

In this year's TriMathlon, Mathnasium of Ahwatukee had 26 of the best and brightest student participants from 12 schools in Arizona. More than 80% of the students competed for the first time in math competitions. All participants received goody bags and earned money for their schools. The winners also received medals and additional prizes.

One Fourth Grade student achieved a perfect score and was invited to the Grand Prize Tie-Breaker contest on October 24. The Grand Prize winner will be announced soon.

Please join us in congratulating all the local participants and winners on a successful TriMathlon on Facebook and Google+!
