Evie Hanson is one of our elite instructors at Mathnasium of Cedar Rapids,

whose job it is to teach kids to feel confident and become successful in math. We interviewed Evie to give you a sneak peak of how great she is:

So, Evie, What do you love most about teaching here? A: Mathnasium has very nice, engaging environment. I also get to work with a variety of kids, wide range of ages and abilities. Also, material they are learning is very interesting.

What's your favorite success story at Mathnasium? A: It is hard to think of one particular student or moment, but I love teaching kids long division. It is great to see students get stronger with this skill and eventually master it.

If I was to catch you at your favorite local restaurant, what would it be and what would you order? A: Probably at Perkins. And I would be eating a ham, cheese, and bacon omelet.

What is your favorite place to go on the weekend? A: I love going to the Coralville Reservoir to go boating.

Tell me that last movie you saw and enjoyed. A: I recently saw The Bee Movie." It is a really good movie."
