Q: What is the first thing a brand new student does at your center?
A: When a student starts with us, we start them off with coloring and designing their binder spine!
Q: What is the comprehensive assessment? How long does it take to finish?
A: Our comprehensive assessments are our tool to check a child's math knowledge, just of a single grade but the culmination of the grades up to the point where they are. Based on what a student misses, we create a customized learning plan that only covers their areas of weakness. We believe in find the math skills that students might have missed in the past that are causing struggles now, not just focusing on current skills in school. Our assessments allow us to get a look at all of a student's skills. I always say to budget between an hour and hour and a half to complete an assessment.
Q: How often should I bring my student to Mathnasium of Cherry Hills?
A: Students should come two to three times a week!
Q: Who are the people teaching my child?
A: Our instructors come from all different backgrounds! Rachel is our assistant director and an amazing instructor! She is taking a break for college to work instead! She was studying music and math and can now bring her passion for both to the center! Rachel has been working at Mathnasium of Cherry Hills since June of 2021.
Another awesome instructor that works at Mathnasium of Cherry Hills is Arti! She has been with us since September of 2020! She is also a college student who loves math as well as music!
Jennifer is a retired engineer who has been with Mathnasium of Cherry Hills since August of 2019! She brings some interesting experience from the work field and a different perspective for the students!

Q: When can I bring my child into Mathnasium of Cherry Hills?
A: We are open 3-7 Monday through Thursday, 3-6 Friday, and 10-1 on Saturdays. We do online scheduling for appointments every 15 minutes and we try to be as flexible as possible. Appointments do not have to be the same time each week (although they can be). We do our best to work with everyone's busy schedules!
Q: How do you motivate your students at Mathnasium of Cherry Hills?
A: I like to say that we are rather shameless about our bribery! We have some many rewards that students can earn, ranging from boxes of candy and fart putty to giant squishmallows and glow balls to nerf guns and craft kits. Students can also earn gift cards to wherever they like! Each month, we pick a Student of the Month and recognize them across the center for the month! What gets students really excited is our $100 drawing that we do each semester! Students get to enter their names into the drawing by completing topics and at the end of each semester, we pick a name and that student gets a one hundred dollar bill!
