Standardized Test Prep with Mathnasium

Feb 19, 2020 | Coconut Grove

At Mathnasium, we focus on making sure our students understand what they are learning rather than just memorizing the steps to solve a problem.

As we approach the testing season, we begin preparing our students for standardized math exams. We specifically target the areas that need improvement and work through practice test questions together.

We also know that preparing for tests is more than just instructing the students towards the right answers or materials. Our process helps relieve testing anxiety as well as give our students different testing strategies and tips to ensure their success.

The State of Florida has standardized testing for multiple grades and subjects. Students from grades 3-8 will take a Mathematics FSA (Florida Standards Assessments). Students in Algebra or Geometry will take the EOC (End-of-Course Exam) for their corresponding subject. Mathnasium will focus on the key concepts and benchmarks that will be evaluated on these exams.

Mathnasium can also prepare students for admission tests including the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) and SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). We also prepare students for the math portions of the PSAT, SAT, and ACT

Our goal is to help our students succeed. We want our students to take their standardized tests with confidence and the prerequisite skills.
