Is my child prepared for math class this fall?

May 22, 2020 | Dadeland

If you are a parent asking yourself that question, you are not alone!  We are hearing the following questions from Miami parents and educators after a Spring Semester of distance learning due to Covid-19:

  • With no end-of-year testing or grades, how can I determine if my child is ready for math success in August?
  • In a normal summer, two months of being out of the classroom resulted in a decline of math skills (the “Summer Slide”)... so what impact will five months have?
  • My student is heading into a transitional math year (3rd to 4th grade, starting middle school, Algebra I).  How can I help them succeed?

Imagine your child walking into math class this fall ready and eager to learn: not just trying to keep up, but prepared and eager to build on their solid foundation.

We can help!  Click the button below to self-schedule a private math skills assessment at a time convenient for you:

  • A complimentary, 1 on 1 video-conference for your child and one of our Math Experts
  • We start with a brief math conversation, then move to a written portion (about 60-75 minutes in total)
  • Once we finish, we will schedule a private video-conference with you to talk about results, goals, and getting started.

Using these results, we create a customized math curriculum tailored to your child’s areas of strength and weakness. Twice weekly math sessions include eye-ball to eye-ball teaching, working through problems together, and time for independent practice.

For families in Coral Gables, South Miami, and Dadeland, you have the choice of joining us at our Dadeland Station center - OR - experiencing Mathnasium @ home via our video-conference platform.

Let’s make this summer count!  Schedule your complimentary assessment by clicking the button below or calling (305) 433-7842.
