On your team bio it says you are going to Orange Coast College pursuing a degree in Business Administration, What are your plans after?

I am hoping to transfer to a four year university to obtain my bachelor's degree in Business Administration. One of my biggest goals is to earn my MBA as well as my CPA license and work for one of the big 4 accounting firms.

What made you want to go into that field?

I have always been interested in working with numbers. I invested in my first stock my senior year of high school and it would always excite me seeing the value of it going up even if it was the tiniest change. Since then, I've always wanted to go into the business field and learn about investments, finance, and accounting.

When did you start working at Mathnasium?

My first day at Mathnasium was December of 2018.

What is your favorite thing about working at Mathnasium?

I love setting goals not only for myself, but for others and achieving them. Working at Mathnasium, I constantly get to see kids I am working with attain new levels in their mathetmatical coursework than ever before. It is rewarding to see not just our instructor's hard work, but their hard work pay off as they continue to improve their math.

What hobbies are you involved in outside of Mathnasium?

I love playing basketball and my favorite team to watch is the Lakers! I always try to catch any remainder of the games first thing when I get off from work. I also got the chance to work at the Kobe Bryant mamba academy doing scoreboard and seeing highly ranked players play through the weekend tournament.  I also play Badminton and competed in Varsity back in high school. My favorite memory was making it to semifinals of the division 2 CIF tournament my senior year.

Do you have any other experiences teaching?

I was a private tutor in high school teaching algebra and geometry and I also tutor the subject of economics to other students at my community college. Outside of school subjects, I taught introductory piano to many young students as I have attained a ceritificate of Merit of all the levels from the music teachers association of California.

Are there any math tricks you like to share?

If you want to know if a two goes into a number evenly, check if the number is even or odd. If it is even, two goes into it evenly!
