May is finally here and it's time to consider how the few months of vacation will impact your child's development. While kids need a break from the day-in, day-out routine of school, it's important that they keep learning! If they don't use any of their school knowledge between May and August, they fall victim to the "Summer Slide," and their ability to keep up with the new year falters. They effectively start out behind, instead of on track (or even ahead!). To avoid that, consider taking part in our Mathnasium Summer Program. From June to mid-August, we’ll be helping students both catch up and get ahead of their math studies, so the start of the school year isn’t so jarring.
