Giving Grants to Big Ridge

We are proud to announce that Miss Menne's class has won a Mathnasium Grant for Big Ridge Elementary School. To celebrate, Alex and our mascot, Ace, stopped by to drop off cupcakes for her class and celebrate with the students. Miss Menne plans to use the $250 to purchase supplies to prepare for the Science Olympiad. In her words, "With the current interest and increased awareness of the importance of STEM disciplines, it is evident that students must improve their performance in science and math. This is especially true at the elementary level where students are just beginning to build their knowledge base for future science and math courses and hopefully their future career choices. The Olympiad program is an opportunity for students to practice: cooperation and teamwork, practice toward a clearly identified objective, and to improve their knowledge in STEM". We're excited to help her students explore the exciting worlds of math and science!
