Ozobots for McConnell Elementary

Feb 10, 2019 | Hixson

A few weeks ago, Mathnasium was pleased to visit McConnell Elementary School to give our monthly grant to fifth grade teacher Rebekah Reed. Ms Reed plans to use this money to Ozobots for her classroom. Ozobots are fun-sized robots that students can control by drawing marker lines on paper. The color of markers decides how Ozobots move, giving students the ability to code their paths by drawing with markers.

"By incorporating Ozobots into my classroom, my students will be given the opportunity to engage in skills that will prepare them to suceed in our ever-evolving digital world" Ms Reed says, "Using Ozobots in the classroom, students will develop computer science knowledge which encompasses criticial thinking skills, problem-solving, and creativity"

We're excited for the new addition to Ms Reed's classroom and hope this new addition to her classroom offers new opportunities for her students to engage with our digital world.
