How about a Covid RISE in math, Kendall?

Apr 27, 2020 | Kendall

Now more than ever, we want our Kendall students walking into math class this fall confident and prepared.  This means not just "getting by," but thriving and excelling.

We take seriously the recommendations from the NWEA based on their recent projections suggesting major academic impacts from COVID closures for students.  (In summary:  "Especially in mathematics, students are likely to show much smaller learning gains, returning with less than 50% of the learning gains and in some grades, nearly a full year behind what we would observe in normal conditions.")

"This situation is going to be like what is often called the summer slide, but on steroids," one school superintendent told NPR.

Whether in center or via video-conference, we will continue to do whatever it takes to teach and advance our students during and after this school interruption.

Through our individualized instruction, dynamic learning plans, and engaging Instructors, our Kendall students typically rise one grade level in math every 6 months.  So let’s get started NOW to prepare for August!
