STEAM Night at Kenwood K-8 Center!

May 8, 2019 | Kendall

On April 24th, our Mathnasium Team joined the students and families of Kenwood K-8 Center to participate in their Annual Steam Night.

The students’ science fair projects were on display so that families could walk around and see all of the students’ hard work.

The Mathnasium Team brought fun, logic and strategy-based games such as Kanoodle, Spot It and Mancala. Students played rounds of these games with each other, as well as getting their parents involved in these thinking games!  Students had fun in choosing their reward of either a color-changing pencil, a red or black Mathnasium bracelet or a neon string bracelet.

Students also had fun participating in Kenwood’s arts and science station where they used science and technology to make harmonicas out of popsicle sticks.

Seeing the smiles on the students’ faces as we all brought together science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics made for one exciting night!  We want to thank Ilene Martinez and the entire team at Kenwood K-8 Center for their continued support and partnership in bringing STEAM education to the families of the Kendall community.  We look forward to joining the students and families of Kenwood K-8 Center again next year!
