Our Approach

Our approach, the Mathnasium Method™, pinpoints exactly what makes math difficult for each child in grades 2–12.

Mathletes begin their time at Mathnasium with an assessment to determine their individual strength and weaknesses in math. We check for mastery of their current and previous grade level, as well as for mastery of different skills and problem solving strategies such as numeric fluency (the ability to solve addition and subtraction problems without needing to count on fingers), multiplication fluency, algebra readiness, and geometry readiness.

This assessment generates your student's specific learning plan. A roadmap for us to be able to present lessons to them in an appropriate order to increase understanding of material and retention.

Every day, struggling students attend Mathnasium to work with our specially trained instructors who are great with math and great with kids. We’ll lend a helping hand to every struggling student in an individual setting—our unique approach enables us to effectively explain concepts and teach a personalized learning plan that addresses each child’s specific needs.
