Math Monday📐

Today we are exploring real world examples of right triangles.

A right-angled triangle (also called a right triangle) is a triangle with a right angle (90°) in it. Right triangles are often used to find the answers to real life distance and elevation problems. When looking at a tree and it's shadow, you can use the Pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse. You can also very simply find right triangles in your diagonally-cut sandwiches!
