Flat Stanley is a well known book series in which a paper character named Stanley finds himself in various locations all over the world. Since the release of the series, many schools have repeated the Flat Stanley activity, in which students have created their own versions of Flat Stanley and taken pictures with him throughout their travels.
Here at Mathnasium, we're conducting a similar activity, but instead of Stanley, we're using our A+ mascot, Ace. Over the next few weeks, students will receive flyers about the activity to take home, as well as printable Aces to decorate. Then, the festivities will begin.
Each Friday in June, beginning on June 7th, we will release a prompt on Facebook. Each prompt will provide a location at which students can take photos with their decorated Flat Aces. After taking the prompted photo each week, students or their families can post the photo on Facebook and tag Mathnasium of North Alpharetta. If this is done before the Thursday after the prompt is released, each participating student will receive a special prize!
Students will soon receive flyers with this information to take home, but we felt it was necessary to inform and excite everyone in advance! Get ready for Flat Ace Fridays and the photo fun to begin!
