Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?
A: What sets Mathnasium apart from other tutoring centers is our personalized learning plans based on our assessments. We treat each and every student as an individual and address their specific needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all method. Every student is different, so their learning plan should be too!
Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?
A: Students who attend Mathnasium have a place where they can learn and grow at their own pace. We have seen so many students go from fearful of math to confident in their abilities, and this confidence carries over to other parts of their lives too. If you want a child to have confidence in life, bring them to Mathnasium!
Q: How often do students get re-assessed?
A: We re-assess students after their first 3 weeks of attending to check their initial progress; from there, we assess them again approximately every 8 weeks. This lets us keep constant tabs on how they are progressing through their learning plan and to know when to advance them to the next level. For example, Ronnie showed tremendous growth on his 3-week pre-algebra assessment, which was our queue to introduce him to more Algebra 1 concepts!
Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?
A: We can help with any math from pre-k to 12th grade, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, SAT/ACT prep, and even calculus! We can help kids who need to catch up, prepare for tests, or who just want to get farther ahead of the curve. We are even able to help with certain college-level math courses with private sessions. It would probably be quicker to list what math help we DON'T offer haha!
