NASA Maps Surface Changes from Earthquakes

Did you feel the recent earthquakes that rocked Southern California last week?  The two strong quakes on July 4 and July 5 were even seen in space!

A special team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena used synthetic aperature radar data to produce a map showing how the earth's surface had shifted from the earthquakes.  These scientists then send the data to numerous disaster response agencies to determine recent or potential landslides and other geological impacts.
