Pi Day 2016

Spring break had a great mathematical start on March 14th (3/14) with the celebration of Pi Day at Mathnasium of The Woodlands. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the constant ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter which is approximately 3.14159. Pi day is a fun celebration of mathematics.

This was the second annual Pi Day organized by members of Girl Scout troop #11869. Attendees had great fun with many activities such as math & science trivia,pi reciting, Sudoku, Cubelets, a pie walk,a Math Olympiad challenge and RUBIK’S cubes.
