Summer is a time for fun, but it's also when kids lose up to 3 months of their math skills. Called "the summer slide," this seasonal learning loss can result in lower self-confidence and a lower chance of success in school in the fall. This year's "summer slide" will be exasperated by the disruption of the spring school semester by COVID-19. In only 2-3 sessions per week at Mathnasium of Wauconda, we can help your child can avoid the summer slide and start the school year strong.
Kids love face-to-face instruction and fun activities. And Mathnasium of Wauconda fits with almost any schedule.
We offer a flexible summer math program. You can choose from our monthly membership plan or our Power 20 Package! All sessions are scheduled, so you know ahead of time exactly when your child will be occupied for an hour!
Hours: Mathnasium of Wauconda is open Monday - Friday and offer a combination of morning and afternoon/evening hours.
Game Hour: All Mathnasium students are invited to join us for 1 Hour of Games from 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday/Wednesday There will be no instruction during this time, just all the games you can handle for an hour with our instructors. Stick around for another hour of instruction afterwards, which means two hours of Mathnasium these days! (Parents: Enjoy a nap, grocery shopping, get some work done, or whatever else you want)
Customized Learning Plan: Each student at Mathnasium receives an individualized learning plan to meet their specific needs. Our Center Director and Lead Instruction team will deliver a comprehensive series of assessments to find any foundational gaps in your child's math knowledge. As a student grows with us, their learning plan will also grow, as we continuously monitor their progress and give them an opportunity to show mastery.

COVID-19 UPDATE - We will deliver our quality math instruction online via Mathnasium@home until such time that our center is allowed to resume in-center instruction.
