Mathnasium of Mclean is Moving!

We’ve had the pleasure of serving a growing number of Mclean families; and as a result, we have been looking for more space. We are excited to announce that we have finally found the perfect location -- and it happens to be right down the street!

In January we’ll be moving to our new location at 1320 Old Chain Bridge Rd, Suite #190. As we get closer to our move, we’ll make sure to keep you updated on all of the details. Please note that there will be no break in service or hours between the locations.
We are very excited about our new location and the increased opportunity to change lives through math for students in the Mclean area!

Update 1/9/22
We've officially moved our instruction to the new location! A huge shoutout to the team members from the Mathnasiums of Mount Vernon, Centreville, Manassas, and Roland Park as well as our Support Team for coming out to help with the relocation!

Update 1/12/22
Our new center is all set up and we're loving it! We started instruction at the new center on Monday, and our students have really enjoyed the new space so far.
Stop by on Saturday, January 22nd anytime between 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM so you can see the new space! We'll be holding our "Grand Reopening;" allowing families to see what we have going on, and pick up a goody bag while supplies last.

My very skeptical kid, upon leaving his first Mathnasium session, described it as "fun!" He asks regularly on his own initiative to schedule sessions and it warms my heart to see him finding joy in doing math. Not only that but he's developed a ritual of going to Mathnasium before his baseball games and is convinced it helps him focus and play better. Thanks, Mathnasium of McLean!

Mathnasium has allowed our daughter to go from being terrified of math to feeling confident and successful while doing it! She has completely caught up to her grade level and then surpassed her classmates, all while having fun at Mathnasium, making friends and learning from the wonderful teachers. Thank you!

So far so good but we've only been with you for about 1 month. My son is 6 years old and loves coming to mathnasium. He's always super excited about his class. We're keeping it at 2 per week and I hope his enthusiasm will not wane as time progresses. We haven't met with a staff member yet to see exactly what he's been working on in class and the progress hes made. That remains to be seen....

I have two children attending Mathnasium. Both were having difficulties which is why we sought resources outside of there school. During there assessment we found both children tested below grade level. It has been nearly one year since attending Mathnasium and recent assessments show both have made tremendous improvement and are now at or above grade level. The best part is the children no longer fear math and attending Mathnasium has eliminated the dreaded conflicts associated with math homework. Further, as parents, how math is taught has drastically changed since we were kids. We were spending hours on YouTube trying to figure out what and how to help out kids -- not anymore! Mathnasium concepts translate directly to how math is being taught in schools today. Mathnasium has, this far, been the best investigate in our children's future to date!

There have been many visible improvements with the staffing and overall calmness at the center since my last review. Both Robert and Roy are very responsive and were aware of changes that needed to be made. I speak with both regularly, and I have expressed that anything above a 3 or 4 student to 1 teacher ratio is not worth my money or time. At that point, I would just hire a private tutor. The recent staff hiring has made a drastic improvement in my children's success at the center.

I just want to send a special thank you to Robert and Roy for creating such a positive environment for both of my children to build their math foundation. It's really hard after a full structured day of school to add one more hour of math, but the McLean center has found a balance which makes the experience enjoyable and productive. From the first day, Robert has made us feel like he is invested in guiding our children. As a teacher myself, I know that children learn best when they feel comfortable and secure enough to take a risk. I believe this is especially true when it comes to math, which many children view as being right or wrong. But Robert has demonstrated multiple strategic ways of thinking, which has encouraged the students to think about math differently. He is a great asset to Mathnasium. Without his calm and positive nature I think it would be a greater challenge to sell the experience to my children. I want to send a big THANK YOU to the guys running the McLean center. It feels like you put our children first, and that is what keeps us coming. THANK YOU!!!

The management onsite at the center and instructors are great! The business side is very concerning. If it were not for the instructors and Robert, we would hesitate to recommend to others. Parents should not be nickeled and dimes and tricked to extend their contracts while under the initial 30 day contract period.

We had a great experience there! Robert, the director there, was very attentive, followed through on requests, questions, and very accommodating, not to mention just very cordial and friendly.
