Our Team

Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting; our unique approach enables us to explain concepts really well and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! Read below to learn more about our talented team:

CenterDirector

Khurram Khan, Managing Director 

Khurram is an Owner & Managing Director at Mathnasium of Mill Creek. He received his MS in Industrial Engineering from WSU. Given his extensive experience using math in his engineering and safety careers, Khurram has unique insights into its practical applications, and he is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Mill Creek, Bothell, and nearby communities to truly understand math by teaching it in the way that makes sense to them. Khurram is excited to see how the students at Mathnasium grow from each and every session they come to, seeing discouraged faces change to big, confident, smiling ones, and hopes that every child that comes through this center,           will one day carry the same love for math that he possesses. He has taught and tutored children of all ages,         and he is committed to bringing the Mathnasium Method to the children in the community. Khurram is married and has 3 beautiful children. 

 

Jonathan, Center Director

Jonathan was born and raised just outside of Chicago, and recently graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Mathematics. He has tutored students of all ages through a wide range of material. Jonathan has completed advanced coursework in Calculus, Matrix Theory, and Number Theory. He is passionate about learning, and hopes to continue his education in the future. He grew up playing Hockey and Baseball, and has studied Italian for several years. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys movies, puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.

 

Jeremy, Instruction Floor Manager

Jeremy born and raised in Snohomish County, he completed his BS in Mathematics at the University of Washington in June 2018 and completing MS degree in Mathematics from UW. He aspires to become a professor of mathematics, as he loves both teaching and math. Jeremy has previously taught students from elementary through college in martial arts, Latin and piano. He is a 2nd dan (black belt) in Shito-Ryu karate, plays trumpet and piano, and enjoys ancient languages (especially dead ones), and games, particularly RPG’s and difficult video games. 

 

 

Audrey, Co-Lead Instructor

Audrey Lin is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. Audrey was born and raised in Mill Creek, Washington. She is currently taking Calculus 3 course at Cascadia College. Audrey has always had a passion for math and consistently takes high-level math classes while striving to understand concepts well enough to teach to others, and also loves working with kids. Outside of school, she plays the piano, violin, and takes part in her school's robotics club and Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras. Audrey hopes to utilize her love and understanding of math to help others who are challenged or seek to be challenged. 

 

Vikas, Co-Lead Instructor

Vikas is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. Vikas is attending the University of Washington to complete his pre-medicine studies and pursue a degree in Biology. He tutored his fellow classmates at his high school tutor club and also officiated youth basketball games for a few years, helping him learn how to cooperate with children of all ages. He has taken math classes up to AP Statistics and did well in all of them. Vikas has had a passion for math since he was a kid, often taking advanced math classes outside of school to better his knowledge. Vikas likes to travel, watch movies, play basketball, and spend time with his friends and family.

 

Retaj, Assistant Center Director

Retaj was born and raised in Seattle but originally from Benghazi Libya. She loved science and math from a young age and ha always had A’s in all STEM subjects. Retaj love working with kids and have prior experience tutoring little kids in Math & Science subjects.  

 

 
 
 
  

Riley, Assistant Center Director

Riley was born in Florida but raised in Bothell, Washington, and currently attends Henry M. Jackson high school and is taking Pre-Calculus as well as other rigorous courses. Riley has loved stem subjects from an early age. She loves to help people in any way she can and wishes to make a positive impact on the lives around her. Outside of school, besides volunteering, she loves track and field, spending time with friends and family and wishes to travel one day. She has years of experience working with and helping teach kids in a professional setting, and cannot wait to use her knowledge and love of math to help others.

 

Makena, Assistant Center Director

Makena was born and raised in Mukilteo, Washington, and is currently a senior at Kamiak High School. She has always excelled in STEM classes and is currently taking AP calculus and physics. She enjoys helping kids and has experience coaching middle school students in volleyball. In her free time, she is on her school’s dance team and plays violin in the orchestra. 

  

 

Kathya, Instructor/ Assistant Center Director

Kathya was born in India and moved to Seattle when she was four years old.  She has always loved math and is currently taking Pre-calculus along with other rigorous courses; she has also done well in all of her previous math classes. Kathya is an officer of a medical club (HOSA) at her school and also participates in National Honor Society, TSA, Redcross, and Link Crew. Kathya loves working with children and has tutored them in the past. She also volunteers at child care centers whenever she can! In her free time Kathya likes to watch TV, read books, and spend time with her little sister. 

 

Suhani, InstructorAssistant Center Director

Suhani attends North Creek High School and is currently taking Pre-calc 1& 2. She is also taking other rigorous courses like AP Physics and AP Seminar. In school, she’s on the Executive Board for FBLA and is a member of the Redcross Club, National Honor Society, and Key Club. She has prior experience with tutoring children and she is part of the Teen STEM team for Bothell Library and also volunteers with Newport Library. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, traveling, and volunteering.

 

 

Anshu, Instructor

Anshu was born in India and moved to Washington when she was 3 years old. Anshu is currently attending the University of Washington as a pre-medical student. In high school, Anshu was the President of the Computer Science Club and won multiple state-wide programming competitions with her team. She graduated in the top 5% of her class and completed all math courses up to AP Calculus BC with all As. In her free time, Anshu likes to read and go on hikes. She has a passion for math and science and wants to help others achieve their academic goals.

 

InstructorBryce, Instructor

Bryce was born and raised in Snohomish, WA. He graduated from Bothell High School in 2017 and decided to attend Edmonds Community College. After completing a two-year degree he is now a junior at the University of Washington Bothell studying mechanical engineering. He has completed several high-level math classes including the four calculus classes and differential equations. He loves math and science and teaching is a passion of his. Outside of school, he likes to go on hikes and play soccer with his friends.

 

InstructorAlice, Instructor

Alice is an instructor at Mill Creek Mathnasium. She was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States when she was in third grade.  She is currently a senior biology student at the University of the Pacific as a part of the 3+3 accelerated pre-dentistry program.  She has taken STEM classes such as AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology.  She is passionate about math and teaching students.  Outside of school, she enjoys art, playing clarinet, and spending time outdoors.

    

Long, Instructor

Long was born in Saigon, Vietnam and was raised in Lynnwood, Washington. He is currently an undergraduate at the University of Washington Bothell, double majoring in Physics and Mathematics. His goal is to enter graduate school for physics. In his free time, he enjoys running, dancing, and programming.

 

 

 

Sophie, Instructor

Sophie was born and raised in Snohomish County. She has loved math and science from a young age, and has taken advanced STEM classes throughout high school. She is currently a senior at Kamiak and is taking Honors Physics and AP Calculus. She loves working with math and chemistry and hopes to pursue chemical engineering in college. She is passionate about teaching, and tutors math and French at her high school. Outside of her academic life, she enjoys dancing competitively and spending time with her family. 

 

Arnav, Instructor

Arnav was born in New Delhi, India and moved to Washington when he was 3 years old. He is a senior at Jackson High School and currently the ASB President of the school. Along with that, he's the captain of the Speech and Debate Team, the treasurer for his school's Mock Trial Team, and a National Semi-Finalist for the Technology Student Association at Jackson. He has a 4.0 GPA and has taken math classes through AP Calculus BC. In his free time, Arnav loves to play video games and go on adventures with his family and friends. He has a passion for math and helping others reach their goals and loves working with kids. 

 

Maher, Instructor

Maher is currently co-chair for the Mill creek youth advisory board as well as secretary for the Medical club (HOSA) offered at Jackson High school during his senior year. Teaching and connecting with the student one on one is something that he enjoys and has grown a passion for especially on the foundation of math. Making sure that the student sees him as a friend and not only as another teacher is very important to him when teaching math, in order for the student to trust and engage with you in a classroom setting that looks to enhance a student's life in the coming years.

 

Kiran, Instructor

Kiran was born and raised in Mill Creek, Washington. She is currently taking AP calculus AB at Jackson high school and have taken high level classes in the past. Kiran enjoy math and other STEM subjects and love working with kids, and in her free time she likes to spend time with her friends and go outdoors.

 

 

 

 

Henry, Instructor

Henry Lin was born in New York City, and grew up in Lynnwood Washington. He is currently a senior at Kamiak High School and has completed math courses up to AP Calculus. Henry has experience working with kids through volunteering as a tutor at his High School and local Middle School. He loves helping students and he is inspired to help students find enjoyment while learning math. 

  

 

 

Sunghee, Instructor

Sunghee is a Junior at Henry M. Jackson High School. She has succeeded in all her math classes and is currently taking AP Calculus BC, as well as other rigorous courses. She enjoys helping and teaching kids and has prior experiences with tutoring them through volunteering at school. She is involved in several clubs such as Girls Who Code and math club to pursue her interest in STEM field. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family.

 

    

Ashvi, Instructor

Ashvi is a freshman at North Creek High School. She is currently taking Precalculus 1 & 2, along with AP Physics and AP Psychology. Ashvi is the Vice President of her school math club, and is a part of the HOSA, UNICEF, and National Honor Society. She is on the honor roll for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC), and started her own community service project to foster a love of math in younger students. In her free time, Ashvi enjoys to play the violin and volleyball. 

 

 

Naisha, Instructor

Naisha is a junior at Henry M. Jackson High School. She has excelled in all her math classes and is currently taking AP Calculus AB. She is the President of the Girls Who Code Club at her school; additionally, she competes in Technology Student Association conferences, volunteers at STEM nonprofits, and plays varsity-level tennis. Naisha enjoys working with kids and has experience educating students of all ages, from hosting private coding classes for elementary school students to creating CS lesson plans for high school students. In her free time, she likes to play the piano, do artwork, and spend time with friends and family.

 

 

Rameen, Instructor

Rameen is an instructor at Mathnasium of Mill Creek. She was born in Chicago and raised in Bothell, WA. She is a sophomore at Jackson High School and has always been a year ahead in math, and is currently taking Algebra 2 to further extend her knowledge. Growing up, she always pushed herself to fully grasp each mathematical concept and put an extreme focus on learning. She is excited to work with Mathnasium families to encourage and celebrate each individual learner.
