Khurram Khan, Managing Director
Khurram is an Owner & Managing Director at Mathnasium of Mill Creek. He received MS in Industrial Engineering from WSU. Khurram is enthusiastic about helping every child in the community to truly understand mathematics by teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. Khurram is excited to see how the students at Mathnasium grow from each and every session they come to and hopes that every child that comes through this center will one day carry the same love for math that he possesses.
John, Center Director
John is a Center Director at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. He received the highly coveted Regents Scholarship and a full-tuition scholarship only awarded to 20 of the brightest high school students in Hawaii every year. John received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He acquired experience in tutoring college students in various college-level math courses such as Calculus and Differential Equations in his past jobs. After college, he moved to Washington and hopes to use his math experiences to help kids in the Mathnasium gain a better understanding and appreciation of math.
Jonathan, Assistant Center Director
Jonathan was born and raised just outside of Chicago and recently graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Mathematics. He has tutored students of all ages through a wide range of material. Jonathan has completed advanced coursework in Calculus, Matrix Theory, and Number Theory. He is passionate about learning and hopes to continue his education in the future. He grew up playing Hockey and Baseball and has studied Italian for several years. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys movies, puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.
Lora, Assistant Center Director
Lora was born and raised in the greater Seattle area. She is currently a second-year college student planning to pursue a STEM-related or health-related field. Lora graduated from North Creek High School, where she loved her math classes through AP Calculus AB and was a member of HOSA. She has years of experience caring for kids and coaching them in gymnastics. In her free time, she enjoys art, dance, badminton, volleyball, and traveling. She's excited to show younger students that math doesn't have to be scary!
Riley, Assistant Center Director
Riley was born in Florida but raised in Bothell, Washington, and currently attends Henry M. Jackson high school and is taking AP Calculus as well as other rigorous courses. Riley has loved stem subjects from an early age. She loves to help people in any way she can and wishes to make a positive impact on the lives around her. Outside of school, besides volunteering, she loves track and field, spending time with friends and family, and wishes to travel one day. She has years of experience working with and helping teach kids in a professional setting, and cannot wait to use her knowledge and love of math to help others.
Shriya, Assistant Center Director
Shriya was born in India and grew up in Bellevue Washington. She is currently a freshman at the University of Washington Bothell. Her intended major is biology. Shriya has completed Calculus in high school and planning to take higher math classes in college. Shriya has been a member of HOSA (medical club) for a couple of years and also participated in her high school badminton team. She loves to spend time with family and friends, paint/draw, and listen to music.
Retaj, Assistant Center Director
Retaj was born and raised in Seattle but originally from Benghazi Libya. She loved science and math from a young age and has always had A’s in all STEM subjects. Retaj loves working with kids and has prior experience tutoring little kids in Mathematics & Science subjects.
Daniel, Lead Instructor
Daniel was born and raised in Snohomish, Washington. He completed his BS in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Mathematics at the University of Washington in June 2021. Daniel has always been passionate about math and has experience tutoring students of all ages in math, science, and music. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing piano and alto saxophone.
Phillip was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. He is currently a fourth-year College student studying a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at the University of Washington in Seattle. Phillip has completed the Calculus series and has taken higher math classes in college. Phillip enjoys helping people around him have a better understanding of math. In his free time, he enjoys TV shows, comedy, soccer, basketball, listening to music, and spending time with friends.
Vikas is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. Vikas is attending the University of Washington to complete his pre-medicine studies and pursue a degree in Biology. He tutored his classmates at his high school tutor club and officiated youth basketball games for a few years, helping him learn how to cooperate with children of all ages. He has taken math classes up to AP Statistics and did well in all of them. Since he was a kid, Vikas has had a passion for math, often taking advanced math classes outside of school to better his knowledge. Vikas likes to travel, watch movies, play basketball, and spend time with his friends and family.
Alan is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. Alan was born and raised in Portland, OR, moving to Washington to attend college at UW Bothell to study mechanical engineering. He enjoys challenging himself in math and is excited to help kids improve their math proficiency. He enjoys working out, tinkering with his bike, and playing video games with his friends in his free time.
Alice is an instructor at Mill Creek Mathnasium. She was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States when she was in third grade. She is currently a senior biology student at the University of the Pacific as a part of the 3+3 accelerated pre-dentistry program. She has taken STEM classes such as AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. She is passionate about math and teaching students. Outside of school, she enjoys art, playing clarinet, and spending time outdoors.
Prajeet was born in India and has been to many places. He is currently a first-year student at the University of Washington, Bothell pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering. Prajeet took multiple honors and AP-level courses in high school. During his free time, Prajeet enjoys hanging out with friends, taking long drives, playing sports, traveling, and he has been recently getting into snowboarding.
Sylvester Jung was born and raised in California, spending most of his life in the Bay Area. He is a senior at the University of Connecticut as a Psychology major. He is a part of the college's badminton team. He has worked with younger children through his years of library volunteering and prior tutoring experience. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, crafts, and piano. He is enthusiastic to teach mathematics in an engaging and funny way.
Tushar was born in India and moved to Bellevue, Washington. After a while, he moved to Bothell. He is currently a freshman at the University of Washington, Bothell. His intended major is Computer Science and Software Engineering. In high school, Tushar has taken many AP classes, including math classes such as AP Calculus AB & BC, as well as AP Stats and APCSA. In his free time, he likes to play with his dog, go to the gym, cook, and hang out with friends.
Sunghee is a senior at Henry M. Jackson High School. She has succeeded in all her math classes and is currently taking AP Calculus BC, as well as other rigorous courses. She enjoys helping and teaching kids and has prior experience tutoring them through volunteering at school. She is involved in several clubs, such as Girls Who Code and the math club to pursue her interest in the STEM field. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family.
Arnav is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. He has excelled in his Math classes and is currently in AP Calculus BC. He has completed AP Calculus AB, AP Physics 1 and 2, and is currently in AP Computer Science A. He is Vice President of the debate club and a state qualifier for DECA and he is also captain of the cross country team. In his free time, he loves to watch sports, plays sports, plays video games, and spend time with family and friends. Arnav overall enjoys math and loves challenging himself with high-level math classes inside and outside of school.
Ashvi, ACD/ Instructor
Ashvi is attending North Creek High School and currently taking Calc, along with AP Physics and AP Psychology. Ashvi is the Vice President of her school math club and is a part of the HOSA, UNICEF, and National Honor Society. She is on the honor roll for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC), and started her own community service project to foster a love of math in younger students. In her free time, Ashvi enjoys playing the violin and volleyball.
Sangsoo is an instructor at Mathnasium, Mill Creek. He was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States when he was 5. Sangsoo is currently a junior at Henry M. Jackson High school and is taking AP Calculus AB alongside other rigorous AP courses such as APUSH and APLIT. Previously, he had taken AP Environmental Science, AP Physics 1, AP Lang, and AP World History. Outside of school, Sangsoo enjoys reading, playing tennis, and taking long walks.
Noelle, ACD/ Instructor
Noelle was born and raised in Washington State. She is currently a student at Henry M. Jackson High School and is currently taking classes such as AP World History and AP Environmental Science, and is a member of the Speech and Debate team. She has always enjoyed math and helping others learn and understand it. In her free time, she enjoys reading and playing the violin.
Harshith is an instructor at the Mathnasium of Mill Creek. He was born in India and was raised in Washington. He is currently attending North Creek High School and taking AP Calc AB. He’s also taking challenging classes like AP World History, AP Physics, and AP Computer Science. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies are playing sports like tennis and badminton.
Joy, ACD/ Instructor
Joy was born and raised in Washington. She is currently a student at Henry M. Jackson High School and taking Algebra 2, AP Environmental Science and AP Human Geography lasses. She loves working with kids and help them solving complex problems in an easy way. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends and plays the flute.
Julian was born in Southfield, Oakland, Michigan, and was raised in Mill Creek, Washington. Currently, he is attending Glacier Peak high school, is part of the school's tennis team, and is a member of the speech and debate club. He has always loved working with younger kids and previously volunteered as a TA for a children's leadership program. He is excited to help students improve their academics in his community.
