Many high schoolers have gone through a copious amount of transitions such as virtual learning, the introduction of a quarter system, and the lack of resources still available to prep for their PSAT/ACT/SAT Exams.
Due to the current situation, programs and testing sites are unfortunately limited to the delivery they can offer and their capacity of student whom they can offer it to as well.
This has become very frustrating for students who are frantically trying to prep for and take the exam so that they can feel more secure about their college and university plans before application and test deadlines rapidly approach.
The upcoming SAT test date is scheduled to occur on March 13, 2021. So what resources and options are available for your child to have a plan in place?

My son and daughter have been attending Mathnasium from the past 5 years and are doing amazing in math. Both have been placed in advanced math. Mathnasium really focuses on success at school by preparing them for their upcoming tests / quizzes. This has really bring up my kids confidence in math. During summer and other school breaks they focus on taking Mathnasium assessments and working on their learning targets. The staff and tutors are really nice and my kids look forward to going at Mathnasium. My daughter just recently received student of the month reward and she is super excited!!!

The program is working really well for my 2 kids who have been in the program for the last few years. One thing we have learned is consistency works. Attending the program regularly each week and have the kids rewarded by the instructors and the parents really promotes a great learning environment. Mathnasium offers math enrichment for my son, who loves math and is always looking for a challenge. He is in advanced math in high school and needs that extra help to keep doing well. The instructors are great and the center is very welcoming.

Both my kids attend Mathnaisum and love it!! During the summer (which lasted 6 months this year!), Mathnaisum was the only academic support my kids received. They launched virtual online live instruction and it worked out so well for us! Math is 1 subject they are not behind on due to the support they received the past 6 months. Mathnasium has been going well for my son and daughter. My son is in HS and my daughter in middle school. Both get homework help and test prep tutoring to do well in school. This summer they have been focusing on SAT/ACT prep and getting ready for school in the fall. This program really gives them an edge over what the school is teaching them. I’m confident that they will excel in Math class. It’s convenient to schedule sessions either online or go into the center as needed. The instructors are great and make the most complicated topics easy to breakdown and learn. Best is they have their own material that is printed for each session that is used to teach and practice the concepts. Money well spent!

Both my kids have been attending Mathnasium last couple of years. With the recent public health emergency, Mathnasium switch to online instruction and really supported both my high schooler and middle schooler through their math classes. Both will be attending throughout the summer months in preparation for next year’s rigorous math curriculum. I don’t want them to struggle and experience a setback. Moreover Mathnasium have the best reward giveaways during summer months to keep my kids motivated!!!

We have three daughters who receive tutoring from Mathnasium. Initially, for our two elementary school-aged kids, it started as augmenting the core curriculum in elementary school as we had moved to CA from another state and they were ahead of where their classes started here. For our middle schooler, she placed into advanced math but was struggling. It was very helpful for all three to have additional instruction. Now, with distance learning and very little actual instruction, it’s one of the only hours/week where I feel they are getting direct instruction. Expensive, but highly recommended.

Mathnasium has done wonders for my daughter. She was struggling in math, and after being with Mathnasium for the last five years math is now her favorite subject. The math instructors are great, whenever she has tests or quizzes Mathnasium creates a custom test prep for her. Mathnasium has also tailored her program to the topics she is working on in school. Due to the current situation, we are attending Mathnasium at home, the program works well, there aren't many technical issues, and there is no difference in the instruction other than you are doing it from the comfort of your own home. Thank you for all you have done.

With some much uncertainty in the world right now, there is one thing that continues to remain normal in my kids lives, and that has been Mathnasium. Although they are unable to go the center due to state closure mandates, I and my kids are so appreciative of the Mathnasium @home Online Tutoring program. My kids get to talk/see the same instructors online that they work with in the center, they work on the same material that they work on at the center, and they are keeping up with their math skills. We hope to see the center open back up really soon, but until then, we will work on math @home.

Both of my kids love attending Mathnasium of Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch!! My 12th grader attended the SAT boot camp at Mathnasium and felt great going into the test and scored 800 on the math portion of the test!!! My daughter is now doing great in her math class and her confidence has come up. She was struggling before we enrolled her at Mathnasium of Mira Mesa / Scripps Ranch. The tutors and management have been great! They connected with my daughter’s teacher to customize my daughter’s learning targets so she can work on concepts and problem solving she has been struggling with. They also teach what my daughter is learning in school and have a lady who does curriculum planning with my daughter. Very approachable staff!! Thank you Mathnaisum staff!!

I have been using Mathnasium for all 4 years of high school. I can proudly say that I was able to achieve all A’s and score highly on AP exams in rigorous math classes such as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. Mathnasium also assisted me to reach a 790 math SAT score. I would definitely recommend their program to all of my friends and younger siblings.

It’s been a very good experience for my daughter there. The only thing that is preventing me from giving a score 10 is that the cost is quite high, not every family can easily afford it. And also considering my daughter is a high school student, it’s very hard for her to use up all the allowable hours per month, which resulted in even higher cost per hour.

My kids have been coming to Mathnasium for 5 years now. My son just completed Calculus B/C and ended getting an A in the class. My daughter went up 15 points on her state tests and made it into advanced math class in middle school (basically skipping 6th grade math and going directly to pre-algebra). The improvements I have seen in my kids every year has been amazing. Mathnasium is our support system and it’s the best investment I have made towards my kids education.

My 2 daughters were struggling in math before I signed them up with mathnasium. About 5-6 months now after I got them onboard with mathnasium, they’re both so confident in doing their math. They get more involved in their math classes at school, they raised their hands very often now when the teacher asked about math questions. I’m so happy to see their grades picking up higher and higher. Even their school teachers noticed a big change in the way they do their math too when I met with the teachers at conferences. It was the best decision I made to get my 2 girls into mathnasium. Every time I pick them up from mathnasium, they do math games with me to see who can come up with the fastest answers. My kids look forward to going to Mathnasium every time. The format makes it fun and the extras (games, raffles, punch cards, etc.) make it more exciting. As a busy parent, I appreciate the flexible scheduling - there is no schedule! I love that I can take them anytime it fits into our day. Everyone at the center is friendly and helpful.

This Mathnasium Center has been GREAT! The program works for both of my 2 kids. We have been coming to this center for several years now and my kids are always treated with great care and are given the attention they need towards their math skills. They frequently send me status on how my kids are doing and I meet with the staff at least once a month to get more details. Both of my kids were struggling in math and now they are somewhat ahead of what they are learning in school.

Archi the director at Mira Mesa has been wonderful on helping both of my kids excel in math, we are very pleased with the results. We have been with the center for more than 3 years, with Mathnasium's help, my daughter successfully got into accelerated math program at Marshall Middle school. Both of my kids an 8th grader and a 10th grader. Both have been going to mathnasium for 2 years. My son who is currently a 10th grader, struggles so hard with math. He was at a 5-6 grade math level when started- now he is up to grade level with a c-b average.. he actually has a B currently. That has never happend! My daughter had really bad test anxiety. Now she has an A in math! The price is expensive. But you can’t put a price on the smiles when they understand the work. The instructors are so good with them!! Thank you so much Archi!!

I highly recommend Mathnasium if you are looking for a good math tutor. Our child has always struggled with math and we noticed that test scores and comprehension have improved significantly since attending Mathnasium. The tutors are very qualified and Archie (director) is warm and welcoming. Status reports are provided to parents every few months to show how your child has mastered certain math skills and indicates their progress as well. I also like that my child can present homework problems to her tutor during her tutoring sessions too. It is money worth spent!

We have been very happy with Mathnasium and the progress that our son has made since he started attending. My only complaint is that close too early during the week at 7 PM for students that participate in sports. It’s difficult to get a student to your center twice a week with really close time. A weekday closing at 7:30 or 8 PM would be better for middle or high school students. Thank you.

Since our son has been going to the center there has been marked improvement with knowledge of mathematical concepts and a steep gain in his foundational skills. Well I need to come in and see the progress that my kids are doing. So far get like going and are interested in earning stars! Rewards are great when you deal with kids.
