Jenna

Assistant Center Director
Jenna is the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Mobile. Over the past year, she worked her way up from instructor to taking on more and more responsibility in managing the center. She is a trusted teammate who brings out the best in others and gives her best as well. A natural leader, Jenna is instrumental in handling the day to day instruction of our students. She is a current student at the University of South Alabama, majoring in biomedical science. Jenna came to South with a stellar academic resume which included a strong background in math. She's great at working with kids of any age and ability, transitioning easily from the basics of addition and subtraction to the complexities of trigonometry. "I believe math education is important because math is always relevant," Jenna says. "No matter what someone chooses to do with their life, they will always use math in some way."

Walker

Instructor
Walker is a student at the University of South Alabama, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. His classwork requires a strong background and concentration in math, something he really enjoys. "The answers to all the questions in the universe are contained in math" Walker says.

Seth

Instructor
Seth is a current student at the University of South Alabama, majoring in Computer Science and Math. He's also a member of the United States Air Force Command. Seth says math isn't just a subject in school, it's a way of thinking. "teaching this way of thinking helps prepare students for higher level critical thinking later in life," he says. "It leads people to becoming problem solvers."

Matt

Instructor
Matt is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, with a BS degree in Exercise Science. He intends to go on to an advanced degree in physical therapy. "Math education is important because it exercises your brain," Matt says. "Math helps you develop necessary life skills and can help you understand other subjects like science and history."

Ansley

Instructor
Ansley is an instructor at Mathnasium of Mobile. She's currently a student at the University of South Alabama where she's working on two majors and very involved in student outreach activities. Ansley brings great energy to our center and is outstanding at connecting with students. "Math is important because it helps you learn how to problem solve, a skill everyone needs in the real world," Ansley says.

Julie

Instructor
Julie is a student at South Alabama, majoring in biological sciences. She's an outstanding math instructor and has a real gift for working with kids of all ages. She's easily able to switch from basic number identification to Calculus depending on the student's need. "Math is a constant in life," Julie says. "It comes with so many logical and problem solving skills that apply beyond the classroom.

Instructor
Lauren is a student at South Alabama, majoring in chemical engineering. She has a strong math background and is also great at transferring her knowledge to students. She believes math is essential to every career. "Not everyone goes to college, but math is not applicable just to college degrees. Shopping, doing taxes, making investments, and numerous other regular activities all require some level of math competency. It's important to have those math skills to participate and make good decisions."
