Monthly Math Movie Night!

Jan 28, 2020 | Mount Airy

Greetings Mathnasium Family!

One thing kids always want to know is how math is related to the real world? How many of us have heard the question "When am I going to use this?" Well starting in March, we want to share with you exactly how to answer some of those questions by exploring Math in Movies! On the first Friday of every month, we'll be hosting a movie night for all your aspiring mathematicians! Our first one will be October Sky! Come on down and see math in action in the real world! We'll have snacks and seats, but feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, as well as blankets, beanbags, pillows, and anything else to make your seat the best seat in the house! Popcorn and water will be provided!

We'll start off with a quick math warmup and end with a recap to talk about what themes you all saw that were related to math!
October Sky is rated PG, here is a trailer for the movie!
