CenterDirectorMathnasium of New Orleans, Center Director

Hermann Schulze has been helping students succeed in and around the classroom for more than 20 years.  He is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  After attending Eagle University, a career and leadership program, he was set on a path of helping other students develop their strengths and launch a successful career.  After college, Hermann began his career with Eagle "U" conducting workshops at colleges and Universities like Georgetown, Pepperdine, and Washington University in St. Louis.

In 2003, he founded CareerTHINK workshops and Assessments, a company designed to work with schools and students in order to help students by providing learning strategies with the "Top Secret" Study Skills program and career aptitude testing through the Highland's Ability Battery (the Gold Standard of Aptitude testing).

Hermann is a professional speaker and worked with Monster Worldwide's "Making It Count Program" in school programs; he has delivered more than 1,000 presentations to more than 200,000 high school and college students on preparation for college and career success.  He is also certified as part of the John Maxwell Team to conduct presentations such as The 21 Irrefutable Law's of Leadership, Everyone Communicates But Few Connect, and the YouthMAX for students.

Hermann is the author of two books. The first,  "Hit The Ground Running, 5 Steps To The Career You Love", is a book for students to help find a career they match and then take action with the guiding fundamentals of a successful career search and launch.  The second book on Simple Learning Strategies to study less and get better grades will be released soon!

In his life and in working with students for 20 years, Hermann noticed so many students making CAREER decisions, and decisions about themselves based on how much they feared MATH.  Many students FEAR math because they lack the fundamentals to succeed in higher level maths, even Algebra.  Finding Mathnasium and getting the opportunity to help students strengthen their fundamentals of math and the ability to think has been an exciting endeavor.

CenterDirectorLarry Martinek, Creator of the Mathnasium Method

Larry has spent his entire career finding a better way to teach math. From inner-city to public schools, to acclaimed magnet schools, to leading private and parochial schools, Larry has served as both a classroom teacher and as an educational consultant. He has designed curriculum, teaching strategies, and teaching materials designed to help students and teachers learn math more effectively, He has trained teachers in the art and science of boosting students' ability to "do" math, thereby increasing students' math scores and feeling of self-worth. Larry is the developer of Mathnasium's educational program - one of the most comprehensive and innovative curriculas ever produced for teaching math.

While Larry is not an instructor at our center in New Orleans, he is a valuable asset and we can call on him to ask specific student's scenarios for guidance and advice. This has helped to make visits more productive and enjoyable for many of our students.

We have a great team and are currently updating our instructor bio's, please check back soon!
