Goodbye Summer, Hello School!
Jul 30, 2019
At long last, that time of the year has arrived. For many of our students, school begins in less than two weeks, despite the universal feeling that summer just started. The new school year is often a cause for stress, but with Mathnasium on your side, the stress of the year will fade away! Here are 3 reasons why:
- Your students will have homework help. Here at Mathnasium, we allow our students to spend a sizeable portion of their sessions on homework, and they are given opportunities to ask questions about the concepts they do not understand. Furthermore, Mathnasium instructors will check over your student's homework and help them to understand any mistakes, allowing them to truly grasp the methods of solving the problems they are given in class.
- Your students will build their confidence in math. Though we allow our students to work on their homework at the center, we spend most of each session on Mathnasium work, which is assigned to them according to the results of their frequent check-ups and assessments. While this work may not directly to relate to what your students are learning in school, it allows them to fill in knowledge gaps and gain a greater foundation of mathematical skills. This will give your students the tools they need to succeed in school, and it will provide them with feelings of confidence in their math abilities!
- Your students will learn to love math! At school, students sometimes feel that they know the mathematical concepts taught, but they don't necessarily know why they work. At Mathnasium, however, the why is the most important part of our method. We confirm that our students understand the lessons deeply, that they know not only know what to do, but also why they do it. This understanding makes math fun for students, even those who never previously enjoyed math!
