Flo Ning

Assistant Center Director
Flo is a former high school math teacher and an alumni of Teach for America. She loves helping students from diverse backgrounds gain confidence in their math skills because if you can solve a problem in math, you can solve a problem in life! Flo also graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with dual degrees in Philosophy and Political Science.

Janet Escano

Lead Instructor
Janet Escano has earned a BA in Mathematics from UMD, College Park and an AA from Montgomery College. All throughout school, she always enjoyed helping her classmates who were struggling with math. She has brought this enthusiasm to Mathnasium, striving to make math more digestible and help them experience that "Eureka!" moment when everything just clicks. After all, it’s more enjoyable to think together than to struggle alone.

Kim Cole

Instructor
Kim is an experienced Mathnasium instructor who enjoys teaching math to kids. Kim has an art degree from the University of Maryland and continues to pursue her passion for art when she is not at the center.

Mateo Flores

Instructor
Mateo Flores is a graduate of Montgomery College with a Business Associate of Arts degree. There he was a member of the Student Senate and the Latino Student Union. Most recently Mateo was a membership counselor at LA Fitness in North Bethesda.

Sofia Correia

Instructor
Sofia is a junior at the University of Maryland majoring in Aerospace Engineering. She is driven by her love for math and a passion for helping others excel in the subject. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and playing sudoku.

Arina Golikova

Instructor
Arina recently graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a B.S. in Computer Science. She has been tutoring mathematics since high school and also holds an A.S. in Mathematics from Montgomery College. She has a passion for math and helping kids of all ages succeed in school.

Grace Tung

Instructor
Grace graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. She enjoys helping students of all ages improve their math skills. When not working, she can be found trying new recipes (both making and eating) and searching for new restaurants.
