Our staff members are highly qualified and rigorously trained individuals who must first pass a comprehensive set of assessments covering all aspects of mathematics before even being considered for the Instructor position. Background checks are an essential part of the hiring process as is a "trial run" interaction with the students. Our instructors are required to undergo continuous training. Center Director - Dr. Valerie S. Johnson
Dr. Johnson has served Mathnasium of North Dallas as an instructor, lead instructor, and moved into the position of Center Director in 2015. She has been a presenter at the Mathnasium Annual Conference for the past three years; presenting on topics such as Staff Meetings, Assessments and STAAR testing. She is also well aquainted with ISEE, ERB and Stanford testing. She has 27 years of educational experience as a teacher, assistant principal and principal in the Diocese of Dallas, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Fort Worth.
