Trina McMillin

Assistant Center Director
Trina has moved from instructor to assistant center director. Retired from the health care field, she has many accomplishments. She has won numerous awards in the art world including the Texas & Neighbors multi-state art competition. She has illustrated a children's book, painted murals in Texas, a dance studio and a school gymnasium. She graduated Valedictorian from the art school and had perfect attendance. Her artwork has been shown in art galleries all over. She had a painting hanging in the Texas state capital. From the world of art, she moved on to pursue a career in nursing including hospice and private nursing. She comes to us as a person who is excited to work with children and has their best interest at heart. Trina's favorite number is 33 because it was the number she had for every sport she played.

Lea Carney

Administrative Assistant
Lea comes to us after a career in military logistics for 37 years. She has traveled the world and worked with military missions and special forces. At the center, she is busy answering phones, checking students in and out, helping them with the prize cabinet and anything else that the instructors need. She is an avid college sports fan and holds several state records in Louisiana from her high school sports career. She was the first girl to letter in four sports all four years of high school. Her favorite team is LSU and her favorite quarterback is Joe Burrow. Her favorite number is 8 because it has always been lucky for her.

Arthur Valle

Lead Instructor
Arthur graduated from Spanish River Community High School and continued his education at the University of Texas at Dallas. He had earned the highest GPA Award for his Associates Degree and he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Arthur started as an instructor and has been promoted to Lead Instructor. He became a US citizen after 21 years. He enjoys doing Jiu-Jitsu, cooking dinner for others, learning new skills and listening to comedy. His favorite number is 8 because it is symmetric. Arthur can solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute, has a large collection of puzzles and is the only member of his family living in the USA.

Asa Carter

Instructor
Asa graduated from Tulsa Union High School. He continued his education at Arkansas State and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics. He is currently a professional Rugby Player for the Dallas Jackals. Asa graduated with honors from college and played Rugby for the USA under 20 years old team. He enjoys hiking, going on walks with his dog, fishing, sports, working out and music. His favorite number is 42 because it is the answer to everything.

Enrique Saldana

Instructor
Enrique currently works as a Purchasing Administrator at Hi-Line. He then comes to Mathnasium to help our students as an instructor. Enrique graduated Valedictorian at Thomas Jefferson High School and continued his education at Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He is the youngest of eight children and the first member of his family to attend and graduate from college. He likes to spend time with his family and friends and try new things like food, restaurants and places. His favorite number is 5 because it is right in the middle of 10.

Linda Blasnik

Instructor
Linda graduated valedictorian from Haddon Township High School. She then went on to graduate from Princeton University with a degree in Urban Planning. She works part-time at Tycher Library as a librarian. She and her husband raised two daughters. Linda also writes book reviews for publication and has recorded two songs on iTunes. She also has an associates degree in Journalism. Linda once sang "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Her hobbies include singing, songwriting, playing piano, swimming, Tai Chi and Zumba. Her favorite number is Pi because she likes pie.

Jordan Smith

Instructor
Jordan is a graduate of St. Mark's School of Texas. He continued his education at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English. He is a certified teacher in the state of Texas and taught high school for 8 years. He also coached a Nationals Debate team. He is a freelance writer and sports card vendor. Jordan enjoys sports card collecting and trading, bicycling, painting, drawing and reading. His favorite number is 32 because his favorite basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal, wore that number. Jordan is also the Dog-Father of a chocolate lab name Ruthie P. Brown.

Nichelle Rodriguez

Instructor
Nichelle graduated from South Oak Cliff /Science & Engineering Magnet High School. She continued her education at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She is currently attending graduate school at Lamar University. Nichelle's most significant accomplishment was teaching for 29 years in an elementary school setting in grades 3-6. She is also a newly, retired teacher as of November 2021. Nichelle loves loves completing any type of arts and crafts such as crocheting, diamond art, and knitting. She also loves watching all kinds of movies, old black and whites and binging on Netflix and Prime Video series such as The Expanse or Stranger Things. Her favorite number is any Palindrome because she finds them fascinating and entertaining. She always looks for them in the real world. Nichelle owns two extremely cute dogs named Blanca and Reina. She plans to graduate from Lamar University in two years or less with a Masters of Public Health.

Mary Catherine Ellard

Instructor
Mary Catherine Ellard graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and a Master of Science in educational administration. She was a developmental math instructor for Richland College and was also named the Academic Advisor of the Year in 2009. Mary Catherine was named as the Volunteer of the Year in 2005 for the SPCA. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling to beaches and the ocean, watching nature and history documentaries, volunteering for animal rescue groups, watching Turner Classic Movies, bird watching and meditation by quiet places among nature. Her favorite number is 80 because she loves 80's music. She also enjoys working with the elderly. Did we mention she loves animals, animals and more animals? She also swam with the sharks off of the coast of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Jessica Shrock

Instructor
Jessica began at Mathnasium of North Dallas as our First Steps instructor and is now on the floor as an instructor. She graduated from All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from UT Tyler. She has been a college tutor in math, and tutored children at a family owned center with her parents. Her parents are both retired teachers and started the business in 2005. Her mother was an English teacher for 32 years and her father is a retired math teacher. Jessica has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority since 2013. Her hobbies include baking, writing fiction stories, reading, especially horror related books, and being a cat mom of two. Her favorite number is 4 because it is Beyonce's favorite number and she has been a fan since 2000. Jessica will use any excuse to bake! Just Ask!

Dalton Box

Instructor
Dalton is currently at Senior at Jesuit College Preparatory. He has achieved the Principal's Honor Honor Roll five of his six semesters and is currently holding a 4.18 GPA. He is a member of the Spanish Honor Society, Aloysius Gonzaga National Honor Society, Duke Tip program, High Percentile SAT score and campus ministry. Dalton enjoys spending time with friends, basketball and learning different concepts of math and working at Mathnasium. His favorite number is 18 because he is 18 years old. His age is significant because he will never be that age again. "So far," he says, "Mathnasium already has been a great experience for me."

Ian Dalrymple

Instructor
Ian is a Senior at St. Mark's School of Texas. He is a straight-A student and scored above a 1500 on his SAT. He also impressed his friends by eating an entire hot dog in two bites. In his free time, Ian likes working out, practicing piano and reading books. Ian also writes for his school newspaper and school magazine. His favorite number is 8. It is his lucky number and he likes putting it on paper because the double s-shape is fun to write out.

Sky Park

Sky is a senior at St. Mark's School of Texas. Sky can run 800 meters in 2 minutes. He is also 200-5 in an all time series of basketball games against his friend Harrison. He loves playing, watching and talking about basketball. He also enjoys hanging out with friends and watching movies. His favorite number is 0 because it is the jersey number of his favorite basketball player, Damian Lillard.

Micah Pressler

Instructor
Micah graduated from Richardson High School and is currently attending SMU. He is pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in music. He graduated as one of the top ten students in high school. He played in the TMEA All-State band on the trombone and is playing with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Ensemble. He enjoys cycling, playing piano and drums, and writing and recording music. His favorite number is 68 because he is named after the Bible verse: Micah 6:8. One interesting thing about Micah is that he has perfect pitch.
