Kim Dingle, Co-owner/Center Director
Kim is the Co-owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of North Marietta and also owns the Mathnasium of Acworth. Having struggled with math as a child, Kim is enthusiastic about helping every child in the Marietta/East Cobb community. Each day, I make it my goal to ensure that students have an effective, engaging, and encouraging learning experience that cultivates an intuitive understanding of math. I do this by selecting highly trained instructors who are passionate about math, maintaining the best environment for learning, and always staying positive. Kim is married with 2 teenage boys and has enjoyed many years of volunteering at her church and her childrens schools on various comittees and has been a lead volunteer at a local food pantry.
Geoff Dingle, Co-owner
Geoff is the Co-owner of Mathnasium of North Marietta. Geoff graduated from the University of Natal (Durban) with a Bachelors in Commerce degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting. Back in South Africa, Geoff was also a Chartered Accountant and upon moving to the United States passed the CPA exam. Geoff has always enjoyed math at school and understands that math is an important aspect in everyday life. Geoff has volunteered extensively on his children's school PTA for a number of years.
Ellie is a student at Kennesaw State University and her current math class is Probability and Data Analysis. Ellie enjoys playing the violin and used to dance ballet. A fun fact about Ellie is that she has 10 cats and 1 dog and she has been a vegan for over 8 years. Ellie likes Mathnasium because she believes everyone should get to experience how amazing (and fun!) math can be, and Mathnasium does just that.
Favorite Math Joke: Why does algebra make you a better dancer? Because you can use algo-rhythm!
Andrew is a senior at Sprayberry High School and is currently doing AP Statistics. Within the next 5 years, he hopes to be studying chemistry at either Georgia Tech or UGA ane then pursuing a career as a chemical engineer. A fun fact about Andrew is that over the summer of 2020, Andrew helped his dad build a chicken coop and they have started raising a small flock. Andrew likes Mathnasium because "my favorite experience is when the kids have that "ah ha" moment and finally understand a concept. The excitement they feel is so fun and inspiring to watch happen."
Favorite Math Joke: Parallel lines have so much in common... it's a shame that they'll never meet!
Dilay is a senior at Lassiter High School and her current math class is AP Statistics. Dilay belongs to HOSA at school, enjoys listening to music and making and framing jigsaw puzzles. In 5 years Dilay hopes to have a degree in biochemistry and working towards making new medicine. A fun fact about Dilay is that she has tried many sports... including fencing, archery, swimming, soccer and basketball! What Dilay likes about Mathnasium is "talking and joking about math with the students. They always have the best thoughts."
Shweta is a senior at Wheeler High School in the magnet program and she is currently doing Multivariable Calculus. Within the next 5 years, Shweta hopes to have graduated from Northwestern University and eventually attend law school. In her spare time Shweta like to swim and go hiking and is a member of the National Honors Society, Helping Hands, and the Magnet Advisory Council. Shweta is allergic to eggs and treenuts and has never eaten meat before. Shweta likes Mathnasium because "I love helping students and seeing the lightbulb moment when they understand a problem."
Favorite Math Joke: How is a dollar and the moon similar? The both have 4 quarters.
Kaliga is a senior at Kennesaw Mountain High School in the Magnet Program and she is currently doing Multivariable Calculus. Within the next 5 years, Kaliga sees herself in medical school pursuing a degree as a pediatrician. In her spare time, Kaliga is part of her school's cross country team and is a member of the National Honors Society. Kaliga is bilingual and can speak Tamil fluently. Kaliga likes Mathnasium because "I love kids and and I love math. I love being a helping factor to why kids finally grasp a concept they have struggled with."
Favorite Math Joke: Do you know whats odd? Every other number...
Aaditya is a junior at Lassiter High School and is currently doing Calculus BC. Aaditya would like to go to a school like Vanderbilt and get a degree in law. He has always wanted to travel to Japan for the architecture. Aaditya likes to debate and play the drums in his spare time and enjoys doing service for the community. A fun fact about Aaditya is that his favorite food is fried rice and sesame chicken, or truthfully any type of Chinese food.
Favorite Math Joke: Why did the student do multiplication on the floor? Because his teacher said to not use tables!
Rami is a senior in the magnet program at Kennesaw Mountain High School and her current math class is AP Calculus BC. Rami enjoys playing the piano, swimming, and baking. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Kennesaw Teen Advisory Council. In 5 years she sees herself in medical school pursuing a career in Psychiatry at Emory University. A fun fact about Rami is that she has lived in Ghana, Eqypt, and Rwanda. Rami enjoys Mathnasium because "of the unique methods we use that make learning math easier and fun."
