Winter Sports Are A Go.....Don't Let Eligibility Hold You Back!

With Winter Sports getting the official "go-ahead" from IHSA, don't let eligibility stop your athlete from competing. Mathnasium can help get them back on track, and back in the game.
We are very excited to see that our student athletes are going to be able to participate in Winter sports this year, and we are here to partner with them and help them excel on and off the field!

The Board released the following statement regarding the basketball action:
“The Illinois High School Association Board of Directors made the decision today to continue with the IHSA basketball season as scheduled in 2020-21. In August, the Board slated basketball to take place from November to February based on the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) assigning a medium risk level to the sport. The IHSA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee (SMAC) offered additional mitigations, such as masks during play and social distancing on benches, that the SMAC believed would allow basketball to be played safely.
The high school basketball season was potentially put on hold on October 27, when Governor Pritzker announced that IDPH had changed basketball’s risk level from medium risk to high risk.
After diligent discussion, the Board has made the decision today to follow the recommendation of the IHSA SMAC as it relates to basketball. The Board remains considerate of rising COVID-19 cases in Illinois and understand the importance of adhering to safety guidelines for the good of all citizens. However, the Board has not been presented any causal evidence that rising COVID-19 cases make basketball more dangerous to play by the IDPH or any other health organization nationally or internationally. On the contrary, the IHSA has been looking to bordering states that have sponsored both medium risk and high risk sports in the fall that have noted a low incident rate of COVID-19 spread.

Our son has had a wonderful enrichment experience here. All of the tutors are very kind and knowledgeable. The format of the program really teaches to understand the current curriculum before moving forward. The kids truly learn the concepts rather than memorizing them. We are very impressed by this program and highly recommend it whether for tutoring or enrichment.

I can learn more at Mathnasim then I would at my school.
It helps me understand math more.
It helps me in areas that I’m struggling in.
Mathnasim makes math easy for me by explaining it in a way that make sense for me.
I like Mathnasim because it makes math easier and a fun way to learn it.
Before I came to Mathnasim I didn’t like math but know I do.
Math used to be confusing for me, but sense I been getting help at Mathnasim, it’s not confusing anymore
I feel more accomplished at Mathnasim.

Wonderful experience. My daughter has definitely increased her confidence in Math. She now loves it. Her teacher said she is the only one in her class that gets excited about math. Her grade has increased by 2 letter grades this year. Not only has her math grades increased all of her grades in the other subjects have also. She is an "A- A+" student.

My granddaughter hated math and was not up to her grade level. We went to Mathnaseum 3 days a week through the summer. She now loves math and is getting As . She especially loved the innovative ways they approached learning math and expecially loved Miss Megan and Miss Heather. They made learning math fun.

Before joining Mathnasium my daughter would break down in tears when she would have math homework. In school as soon as she started to understand what they were working on the teacher moved on, leaving my daughter behind and the school doesnt seems to care much at all. Now she looks forward to going to Mathnasium and working on her booklet and no more tears when she has math homework. Shes learning the things that she was unable to in school. Thank you for helping her. It means so much to see her attitude towards math change so much and within only a little over a month. Thank you!
