Loretta, Center Director
Loretta has a BS in Math from the University Wisconsin Whitewater. She is also taking classes toward her MS in Math Education and license to teach math in the secondary schools. Loretta started with Mathnasium as an Instructor at Mathnasium of Minnetonka and grew to an Acting Director of the center. She joined the Plymouth team in the summer of 2016. Working at Mathnasium has allowed her to share her joy of math with others and watch them develop their understanding and joy for the subject. Her previous tutoring experience includes tutoring students in math during her undergraduate career in a college program. Loretta previously taught pre-algebra, algebra and geometry at the high school level. She has also previously worked with students in math in a charter middle school and if necessary substituted for the math teachers.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris with an Elementary Education degree and Capella University with a degree in Special Education. Over the years, she has tutored students and taught school helping students of various ages and grade levels. Elizabeth enjoys helping children understand what they are learning and fill in the gaps on what they have missed. Reading, movies and walks with her husband and dog are several of her pastimes.
Cindy graduated with a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of North Dakota. She has four grown children who all graduated from Wayzata High School and has lived in Plymouth for nearly 30 years. Over the years, Cindy has worked as an instructor with various organizations. She is passionate about math, teaching and tutoring young students. In her spare time Cindy plays the saxophone in a community band and spends time up north at the family cabin.
Ankit is a junior at Wayzata High School. He started learning math in India, where he was never given a calculator. Ankit is always excited to be a part of math competitions, always eager to learn, and help others understand math. He has been a part of the math team in school and is currently enrolled in AP calculus. In Ankit’s free-time he plays chess and tennis.
Ravi is a student at Wayzata High School. His experience with Mathnasium started in fifth grade, when he attended as a student. Ravi has completed AP calculus AB. He frequently tutors other AP chemistry students. In his spare time, Ravi like to hang out with his friends, play tennis and ping-pong.
Kazeem brings a passion for working with students in math. He has experience working with students, both children and adults, in university and community centers settings. Kazeem has a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics. Kazeem has taught pre-calculus and algebra at the junior college level and statistics at the university level.
Eshaan has had a fondness for math since elementary school. This fondness has led to many math competitions and being a graduate of the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Math Program (UMTYMP). Eshaan has gained leadership skills at ICOP, where he tutored students. He also tutors his brother.
Ben is a junior at Breck High School. His love of math has led him to complete math classes through calculus AB. Ben has spent time as a counselor at a summer day camp and working with 3rd graders in a community program. He plays soccer year-round and in his free time he bikes, listens to music and hangs out with his friends.
Ketan is a senior at Wayzata High School. His love of math has led him to complete years of honors math. Aditya is enthusiastic about teaching math to students of all ages. He wants students to love math starting at a young age. In Aditya’s spare time he reads Isaac Asimov books and plays badminton with his friends.
Bhargavi received her degree from University of Minnesota – Twincities in economics and political science. She has expertise in statistics and analytics through research experience and enjoys communicating complex ideas in clear, understandable ways. Bhargavi has taught at Mathnasium during breaks in school for 4 years and enjoys watching students grow in their mathematical abilities. In her spare time Bhargavi enjoys reading, painting, and collecting vinyl records.
Jairus comes to us with experience teaching math and physics. He loves to spread his joy of math to others.
Fred became fascinated with math when he learned where the logarithm in the back of math books came from. Fred chose a degree in electrical engineering because it required the most math courses all the engineering curriculums. In Fred’s work he trained company personnel and customers on new, computerized programable equipment.
