 David Mason, Center Director

When the entrepreneurial opportunity with Mathnasium surfaced, David knew his vision to one day teach math had arrived.

“Financial analysis and quantitative context have been cornerstones of my corporate careers, where I have seen the importance of basic numeric fluency in my own and my colleagues’ business successes.   I have always enjoyed math, and in Mathnasium, I have found a proven forum for helping others to ‘make math make sense.’

At Mathnasium, we offer an encouraging, engaging and intuitive learning experience guided by highly trained instructors who are passionate about math and maintaining a positive environment for learning.  We provide the tools to help young learners improve critical math skills and understanding regardless of their current ability level.  Our priority is helping students build and fortify a solid math foundation to enrich their futures.  We look forward to working with you and helping to build a successful future for your child.”

David earned his MBA, Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University and his BS, Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.  As a professional engineer, David worked in New York and London.  Family interests led David to a second career as an insurance executive, where he led sales finance operations at several leading national companies.  This brought his family from Chicago to Jacksonville where his children were top students as Creekside High School.  Mathnasium is David's newest passion.
