David Mason, Center Director
When the entrepreneurial opportunity with Mathnasium surfaced, David knew his vision to one day teach math had arrived.

I have always enjoyed math, and in Mathnasium, I have found a proven forum for helping others to ‘make math make sense.’

David earned his MBA, Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University and his BS, Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. As a professional engineer, David worked in New York and London. Family interests led David to a second career as an insurance executive, where he led sales finance operations at several leading national companies. This brought his family from Chicago to Jacksonville where his children were top students as Creekside High School. Mathnasium is David's newest passion.
Will Blackston, Lead Instructor
Will is a math teacher with 20 years teaching math in the classroom and also with private tutoring. Will holds a Masters in secondary education from the University of North Florida. He is fluent in teaching high school math subjects such as Algebra I & II, Geometry and Math for College Readiness.
Diana Feier, Instructor
Diana is a rising senior at Ponte Vedra High School and is taking AP Calculus BC. She has loved math since a young age and always strives to learn as much as she can. She loves how math can be applied beyond math class to other classes and the real world. Because of this, Diana wants to help kids understand math in order to enrich their experience in other subjects as well. In her free time, Diana plays clarinet and loves being a member of the Ocean of Sound Band. She can often be found in the band room or spending time with her band mates
Grace Littler, Instructor
Grace is a rising senior at Ponte Vedra High School and a member of the Biotechnology and Medical Research Academy. She believes in the creativity and beauty of math, which she enjoys sharing with others. In her free time, Grace enjoys playing her violin, walking the beach, and reading. She hopes to pursue mathematics and physics in college and beyond.
Julianne Owen, Instructor
Julianne is a rising senior at Ponte Vedra High School. She greatly enjoys teaching, being a part of the learning process, and forming friendships with students. She is passionate about mathematics, and she enjoys working with students and sharing her love of math with them. Julianne believes that a strong foundation in mathematics will help students succeed in school and allow them to see how math is applicable to countless aspects of life. In addition to math, her interests include volleyball, space, and art. She plans to pursue a career in engineering, focusing on aerospace and physics.
Nima Goodman, Instructor
Nima is a rising senior at Ponte Vedra High School. From the beginning, she has studied mathematics at an accelerated pace, and excelled at it. She is passionate about helping others learn. In the past, she has served as a camp counselor for an arts school, and as a private tutor. She has recently successfully completed AP Calculus AB and will continue to take numerous math classes in her future.
In her free time, this Floridian relaxes at the beach, takes photographs, and attends concerts. Her favorite math joke is: "Why did the obtuse angle go to the beach?" Because it was over 90 degrees. .
Zain Omar, Instructor
Zain is a rising senior at Nease High School. As part of a dual enrollment curriculum, he is taking several classes at SJR State College including Calculus with Analytic Geometry. Outside of his classes, he is a National Honor Society Scholar and regularly competes in math competitions. He has developed a true love for mathematics and a passion for working with children and teens of all ages! His favorite number is 2 since it is the only even prime number, and it is his lucky number. Zain is aiming to pursue a career in Engineering with a focus on Chemistry or Computer Science in order to put his math skills to good use.

Nicole earned her Bachelor degree in Education from the University of Florida and also holds a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University. Nicole has taught various grade levels from early childhood education through middle school over the years in both public and private schools. Nicole is passionate about educating youth and believes that all children can learn and succeed in math. She believes very strongly in the power of "making math make sense" and community service. She believes that Mathnasium offers a great vehicle to build confidence in children by helping them make real accomplishments in Mathematics.
