Gillian Moore

Lead Instructor
Gillian joined Mathnaisum in 2018 and is a senior at UNCW. She is currently working towards a Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Education. When she's not in school, she is often helping the community as the president of both NAMI and Psi Chi at UNCW. She loves writing, painting, playing piano, and sitting down with a good book. She has been participating in STEM clubs and activities since kindergarten, and she has joined a psychology research lab at UNCW as a research assistant. She has a passion for education, and she hopes to continue in education in graduate school. Favorite Number: 7 Favorite Math Joke: Parallel lines have so much in common ... Tom Snyder

Lead Instructor
BA Degree in Mathematics from Bates College, Lewiston, Maine. 25 year career as VP and Treasurer at United Dominion Industries. Have worked at Mathnasium from 2019 to present. Married (spouse Saundra). Two children and two grandchildren. Owner Designer Glass Mosaics LLC. Custom glass art for home decor. Hobbies include golf and travel. Elaine Gorom

Elaine first worked for Mathnasium in 2016. Since then, she has worked at different Mathnasium locations in Illinois, Iowa, and North Carolina. She is a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at UNC Charlotte. Prior to that, she graduated from Drake University with a B.S. in Mathematics with minors in Physics and Psychology. She loves reading and working out and even played division 1 soccer in college. She has a passion for the applications of her technical expertise and hopes to continue using math, coding, machine learning, and problem-solving as she continues her professional development. Elaine also hopes to find ways to teach at the collegiate level in the future.

Favorite Number: Belphegor’s prime-1000000000000066600000000000001. Primes are such a cool concept and this one is so interesting visually.
