Mathnasium's 5th Annual TriMathlon
Registration Begins September 1st!
Mathnasium’s TriMathlon is an annual math event held at Mathnasium Learning Centers across the United States and Canada. This free, fun-filled event allows kids to demonstrate their mathematical skills in an atmosphere that is festive and where every child earns money for local schools! All participants receive a fun goody bag and the winners receive additional prizes.
Held on Saturday, October 17th, the event is open to kids in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Similar to the way a triathlon tests an athlete’s physical fitness through three athletic challenges, the TriMathlon tests a mathlete’s mental fitness through three fun-filled math challenges:
The Counting Games
Tests students’ ability to count from any number, to any number, by any number.
Magic Square Challenge
Students are awarded points for developing their own math problems.
Mental Math Workout
Tests students’ number sense by asking them to solve problems without pencil and paper.
Questions become increasingly more difficult as the event progresses.
Supporting Local Schools
All TriMathlon participants raise money for local schools just by attending the event! Local centers will donate money earned by their students to the school of their choice.
