Ambar

Assistant Director
Ambar is our Assistant Director here at our Red Rock location. She is currently a junior at UNLV studying molecular biology and neuroscience. Ambar finds new ways to integrate her passion for teaching and continuing education into providing the best experience for our families! Each day, she uses her leadership skills from conducting previous biomedical labs, to ensure quality experiences for both our staff and students. Ambar and the team work seamlessly together to ensure every student receives the highest quality of instruction in order to achieve their goals! Our Red Rock location is delighted to have our students in the capable hands of our team here!

Timothy

Lead Instructor
Timothy is a recent graduate from UNLV with a bachelors in mathematics in actuary science. He has been tutoring for 3+ years and is the lead instructor for Mathnasium of Red Rock. He focuses on understanding a student's strengths and weaknesses when it comes to math and adapts to how the student learns best. He loves being able to see progress in students who may have struggled with math their entire lives. In his spare time, he enjoys being active by playing golf or basketball and finding restaurants that are hidden gems in Las Vegas!

Michael

Instructor
Michael is a Las Vegas local who graduated from Odyssey Charter High School in 2021, and has plans to start college soon. He loves helping kids strengthen their math skills, finding it rewarding to watch their progress. He enjoys solving puzzles and logic problems. He spends is free time reading and conquering challenges in games. He plans on becoming a video game developer in the near future.

Christian S.

Instructor
Christian is a junior at UNLV, pursuing a degree in Finance. He is deeply invested in making math understandable and engaging to those perplexed by it, recognizing the vast applications of mathematical and critical thinking skills in various aspects of life. His dedication at Mathnasium Red Rock stems from this passion to illuminate math's real-world relevance and utility. Beyond the classroom, his interests range from algorithmic trading and data science to the pursuit of personal health through nutrition and weight training. A jazz enthusiast at heart, Christian loves to play the tenor saxophone. He also enjoys playing basketball and watching movies with his friends.

Bryce

Instructor
Bryce is currently a senior at Clark High School and plans to go to UNLV honors college in the fall of 2024. He enjoys working with and helping students with different needs/tasks. He decided to work at Mathnasium to help others with a subject that he is good at, math. He is involved in several clubs and activities in and out of highschool including being the president of Chess club, the captain of swim team, as well as being in educators rising club and the TEACH program at Clark. Outside of school he enjoys figure skating, playing the piano, playing tennis, hiking and nature exploring, and traveling.

Zahava

Instructor
Zahava is a Junior at Doral Academy and has dreams to study Sign Language to help students with learning differences. She is the Vice President of the ASL club at her high school, where she teaches students and peers how to communicate using Sign Language. She enjoys learning and teaching, especially in math. She loves finding students who have specific needs and working with them to find what helps them learn. Outside of education, Zahava loves art and expressing her creativity through many different media.

Jennifer

Instructor
Jennifer is originally from California. She holds a BA in Economics from UC San Diego and an MBA from University of Southern California. She enjoys working with small children, helping them discover the fun in math. Outside of working at Mathnasium, she is a licensed loan originator in both Nevada and California. She has helped thousands of homeowners finding their dream homes.

Joseph

Instructor
Joseph is currently a sophomore at Palo Verde High School. He is in Algebra 2 and he loves math. He works at Mathnasium because he loves to tutor kids just as he tutors his younger sister at home. He wants to become an engineer in the future. His interests are skateboarding, social media, and working out at the gym.

Dan Saposhnik

Director of Operations
Dan graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a B.S. in Microbiology and from Hofstra University's Graduate School of Business in 1990 with an MBA in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with public accounting firm Price Waterhouse and has built successful companies in various fields including real estate and executive recruiting. Dan's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. His mother was a highly regarded principal in Las Vegas for nearly 30 years. Dan has taught and tutored children of all ages and was a mentor for underprivileged children. Dan is committed to significantly increasing Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their overall school performance. "We provide lots of warm encouragement in a very positive learning environment so that children build their confidence and develop a winning attitude towards math. Our kids learn math in a way that makes sense to them. They get excited about math and this spirit carries over into everything they do."

Laurie Wasser Saposhnik

Director of Marketing and Community Outreach
Laurie graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Mathnasium, Laurie worked for various Fortune 500 high tech companies such as IBM, SAP, EMC, TIBCO and MicroStrategy. Laurie's passion for teaching and love for working with kids is rooted in family tradition. Her father taught special education at the high school level for over 30 years in California. Laurie is committed to partnering with the Las Vegas community to increase Las Vegas children's math skills, their understanding of math concepts and their confidence in their ability to be successful.
