National TriMathlon Day

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the first annual National TriMathlon Day! We hope this competition was a fun and rewarding experience that continues to strengthen students' passion for math.
Mathnasium Learning Center Grand Opening Event
January 16, 2011
Mathnasium of Roslyn, the year-round learning center specializing in math skills which opened for business on January 3rd, held a ?Grand Opening Event? on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. ? 3:00 p.m. at its new Center, 217A Mineola Ave. in Roslyn Heights. The event featured a clown, face painting, balloon animals, snow cones, and other fun activities for kids as well as a tour of the new facility.

The staff in Roslyn has helped my daughter tremendously. Due to the high level of professionalism along with their compassionate education program geared to help struggling students...my daughter received an award for academic excellence. If your child is struggling or just wants to get ahead then this is the center to have your child learn.

My daughter loves Mathnasium! What started as a fight bc I insisted she has to go, has turned into her asking if she can go. She loves the support she receives whether for test prep, homework or basic fundamental understanding. It’s a warm, fun environment and it has brought the fun back to Keaton if for her. Alan and his team are always incredibly flexible, responsive and patient. Joining was one of the best decisions we have made I just wish we started sooner. Thank you for everything!!

They work with kids at their level. They make the experience enjoyable and fun. My daughter has been going there three times a week for a few years. She likes to go there without being prompted or pushed to go. She feels good and confident for the work she does at mathnasium. The instructors are very nice and professional. They try to understand the kids learning style and help them learn better.

Great program and instructors! My kids love coming in and have learned to love math thanks to Alan's wonderful team. My rising 5th grade daughter's scores have improved in school, and my rising 1st grader is always bragging about math facts :) If we've had unforeseen conflicts or issues preventing us from making it at our scheduled times, Alan has always been flexible, allowing us to make up time or move things around. Increasingly, we view our commitment to the program as an investment in our kids, not an expense. With a third kid in Pre-K now and the curriculum becoming more challenging for our older two, we anticipate coming to Mathnasium for many years ahead!

Our son has done so well in Mathnesium! His grade jumped from almost a D to a B+. Everyone there is so nice. They are always available to help with current school material as well as the Mathnesium material. They're also very flexible with switching appointments if needed. Very happy to have found this place. I would highly recommend it!

My daughter enjoys going to Mathnasium every time. The tutors spend time with her until she understands the equations at hand, and she always looks forward to the math games they play to keep her engaged. More importantly, she comes away with a positive attitude toward math as a subject with which she can have fun, so the next concepts taught to her are not any she fears to grasp.

Mathnasium of Roslyn was a great fit for my daughter who needed support for her Algebra II coursework. My daughter was able to work with various tutors depending upon their expertise with the specific concepts that were challenging to her. The scheduling of sessions was flexible to match the changes of my daughter's availability to attend, as my daughter had after school clubs, after school review sessions for upcoming exams, and musical performances, etc. Most impressive of all were the instances when my daughter was invited to stay for longer sessions - as long as she needed in order for her to work through and grasp especially challenging materials in math. As a result of the time that my daughter spent at Mathnasium of Roslyn, she received a very satisfactory grade in her Algebra II class. I would recommend, without any reservations whatsoever, Mathnasium of Roslyn to any student who needs to be supported or challenged in the subject of mathematics.

All of the teachers are amazing and Alan is kind and caring. My 6 year old has been attending Mathnasium for a little over a month and I have already seen a tremendous amount of progress and a huge change in his self esteem.
We are so happy that we chose to join Mathnasium. It is a wonderful place and we are so lucky to have the opportunity to improve our math skills!

Mathnasium has been a godsend for my children. They both love going there and there is never anytime that they need to be forced to go. They look forward to it and I even have a tough time getting them to leave. It is a great supplement for their mathematics curriculum at school. In this day and age of technology, it is great to see children that are excited to do Math. Mathnasium has produced a great program for this.

Both my daughters age 20 and 13 went to Mathnasium and my younger daughter still is in the program. My eldest daughter feels very comfortable with math as a result of the foundation she built through Mathnasium and I feel it’s part if the reason she chose a minor in statistics at her university. My younger daughter is in accelerated math and Mathnasium has helped her meet the challenges and rIgors of the program. Many thanks to Alan flyer and his intelligent and caring staff.

What a difference! My 9yo daughter went from hating the idea of math help to looking forward to going 2x a week! In less than 2 months her confidence and abilities have grown substantially. Alan and his staff are very friendly and supportive. They are not over-bearing and take their time allowing the children to accept the help rather than demanding they participate. I don't know how they do it, but they even make it fun! I would strongly recommend Mathnasium to others.
